Emery is a Mage! Why didn't he use any of his spells to assist? Blink would have been HUGE! Consider prior to the fight: Escape During the fight: Sneak Attack The author is portraying Emery as an imbacilic buffoon. Child or not, he has to have some level of common sense....right?

6th time he faints. He is stronger than before, but his dumbness is still the same. Not a fan of the next chapters of "how stupid/overconfident he was", "how he regrets it" and blabla🤮

Lol, first rule of saving captive is to not become one yourself. I mean I guess you could do it if you have absolute confidence in your power or some other really good plan but otherwise it's just giving up. I mean what worth is hostage when you are captured? And well... if you want to confront some villain, don't just freaking walk into their lair and announce you know about their villainous deeds!!! Might as well again give yourself up on silver platter.
