I mean I overall like the novel but I have some substantial gripes. For one, this core nonsense. HP is not cultivation story or RPG. Magic is more like force in Star Wars. You might be really powerful and be able to wield more force, but it's not something you store inside of you like some mana pool. It's everywhere and you can use more of it with practice and due to natural gifts. Also you can't just download people's memories with Legilimency, even for unprotected mind it takes effort to dig trough memories, especially without wand. Even with his eyes it should take effort and skill to read minds, not opposite. Shoulder length hair is also kinda cringe when out of cultivation context. **. I actually googled legilimency and found quote from book: "The mind is not a book, to be opened at will and examined at leisure. Thoughts are not etched on the inside of skulls, to be perused by any invader. The mind is a complex and many-layered thing, Potter. Or at least most minds are... It is true, however, that those who have mastered Legilimency are able, under certain conditions, to delve into the minds of their victims and to interpret their findings correctly."
What's this about if his wand is taken from him nonsense? He doesnt even need a wand with his adaptability. All he needs to do is practice and he can even surpass people wandlessly. Why a knife? He already failed miserably stabbing that guy and running away in a narrow tunnel from a ranged attacker instead of sticking to him and going for the throat. Not using his transmuting to smack his face with rock dust or shotgun him with rubble with a magic burst from his hand. It sounds like he fully intends to rely on his wand and not come up with anything creative. Just an enchanted knife.
