There are many reasons why I don't like harem, but the most predominant one is shifting the writing focus. I come here for MHA and Madara, but I get 20 chapters of flirting ? Normal people can have harems too, go write a Realistic genre with 100 women harem. People want to read this for other reasons not common relationships. It's really rare for harems to actually matter in these kinds of supernatural novels, because they're not the focus. The only good harem trope that I can think of is Ainz's "harem" in Overlord, but it only works because it gives the novel a comedic undertone. I don't want to disrespect, but Overlord is amongst the best light novels ever written, while author is just a fanfiction writer forcibly inserting an OC into a mostly complete cast.. he should focus on writing the plot than focus on annoying distractions.
