Honestly any direction this goes would be interesting to see. Also the imp is dumb but getting smarter in some areas like language so he will still be dumb with other stuff like not knowing what weapons are ect. until he learns about them. Also he barely is beginning to understand language and started out just hating everything besides fire so it would be surprising if he understood what being treated like a pet is among other things that people bring up. I think it is doing a good job since he is reacting in a way that makes sense with his intelligence plus the binding he has plays a part. Whenever he wants to do bad stuff to the humans he gets hit with fear which in psychology is shown to work especially well on lower intelligence things like animals(ringing bell for dogs when there is food repeatedly to make them associate the bell for food or some negative effect on an animal to stop bad behavior) So will be interesting to see what he gets out of this when he is free as he may still hate humans but grow an understanding on how they think and may retain some of those qualities differentiating him from other monsters. Anyway interesting so far excited to see where it goes.
