Legion20
I swear. If I were an awakened in this novel, I would be unstoppable with how easy it is to actually defeat one. They all talk too much in combat for people who need to breathe to heal.Enemy starts bragging at me - first tier light magic, dark magic, or air magic to give their uvula a tickle."Behold, I am evil violet man the powerf-"
Call me a jerk for it, but if Solus remains a slave to this elf b****rd after tomorrow’s chapters, I’ll probably take a page out of some of these other people’s comments and stop reading this book for a while. The writing style used by Legion to keep us hooked is phenomenal but there are 1,000,000 other things that could have happened and ways this could’ve played out without revisiting the trauma from enslavement. I would also like to add that I don’t think that this should have happened. Ajatar is old af and I feel like he should have been extremely conscious of his arrays going down, even if it was happening slowly and he was distracted by research. Realistically an old monster like him should be smarter than that. Lith is also paranoid as f**k. I am genuinely surprised he didn’t extra security measures in place.
Really thought some kind of failsafe would've been activated by now. I'm amazed Ripha and Yaga apparently never considered Epphy might end-up in a situation like this someday. You'd think they would've had the good sense to give her the ability to kill her host, or seal his powers or something, just in case. Now, she's a slave and a meatshield.......
My theory is that this fight will push Lith’s life forces to combine, allowing him to reach bright violet. As others have pointed out, we haven’t gotten his perspective in a while, and I think he’s either operating on instinct due to rage, or going through some serious internal strife. I also wonder if the elf that likes Lith might find out about this (maybe A she followed them or Aaleah called her)? That would be interesting. If she brings the other elves and they resist, Lith could try to go full scorched earth, which would explain what Mogar showed him.
