I hope this is at least the last time this story arc of enslaved solus is used after this fight. It just is not great to read. Finish this fight already.

technically it doesnt even need to be something dramatic. Storywise yes, makes for a better story but in universe logic it just needs a sync between mogars wishes and his own.

Honestly even if everything turns out ok in the end the enslavement parts in the story are just hard to read for me. Always makes me want to stop this story which I otherwise adore. Well written and everything but it comes up a bit much tbh.

Nah, as a reader you just miss that most of the story or at least most of the time ever since she has become a hybrid is in a few month of in universe time. In the grand sceme of things she is certainly not remotly slow in anything, she is just not the plot main character.

Not neccessarily a lie, liches are still undead and some are in the court. They might not be helpfull to the cause but typically good forgemasters.

I guess you did. Salark is not that good at innovations herself, so she became Menadions discipline for some time when Menadion was the ruler of flame. It was mentioned a few times, for exmple when Salark toured the tower and lamented all the secrets that were lost when Menadion died.

Sitting out would mean to be at mercy with the result. That combined with the hundreds of years of heavy investment into the status quo seems unatractive. Technically nothing so far statwd they want to beat Thrud, just not sit on the sidelines.

No joke but thats it for a reward? Ensured protection of his family, an armor that will be semi obsolete soon anyway considering his mentor and ... not killing him? Wow, what a fail kingdom. And a few meaningless empty words. No acess to anything, no tangible monetary reward and he only had to save the kingdom a few times to get such ENOURMOUS gratitude. Screw them go the beast route 100%
