Honestly I want to like this novel. I really do. Like, I see the potential it has but theres just that one thing thats really bugging me. It's the fact that he is so... submissive. Now what do I mean by that? He's clearly a dork who has never had a girlfriend in his life. He's a simpleton who would likely give up all his powers if his mom, mother (He has two moms) and sister asked him to. In our everyday language he would definitely be a simp. I think the thing that really bugged me was him admitting his secret to his sister. I said it in a comment but I found the build up for him telling the secret to be plainly infuriating and terrible. Author, in the nicest way possible I want to tell you that it was bad. But the big kicker is the fact that although he has all this power his real personality is still so...wimpy. It's Honestly disappointing and I unfortunately will choose to drop this novel. If anyone else can stand a simpleton who acts like he's chasing skirts with the mind of a 30 year old man whose never been a women then feel free.

thank you so much brother , i can avoid wasting time , i hate beta mc to the point that even if the story is so good , i would still avoid it if the mc is a Japanese like beta mc by the way do you know any other novel with bada*s mc like fang yuan or konrad , if possible with mature lemon content , for example "the conquerors path" novel
I'd recommend Fourth Princes Debauchery (It is completed) and Son of the Hero King. Both have been two novels with a main character who are pretty strong in terms either personality or power. To be honest I stuck with the novels because even if they didn't have the lemons I felt they could be pretty good stories without it.

son of the hero king is the same as this novel, the mc is a total loser who is easy to manipulate and they clearly show it and even tell him that he is the second option, that they want him only because he is the son of the previous king of whom they were in love... But the previous king was a Japanese guy who only choose the mother of the mc

son of the hero king is good and mc isn't whimsy. He's mature and it's way better than many "top novels" out there

Indeed. Although in Son of the Hero King I heavily dislike him being pampered like a baby in the beginning, I enjoy the fact that he actually feels like he's growing during the novel with his mindset. He's not a JP beta protagonist who is scared of women and actually knows how to treat them. (Not perfectly mind you but he tries.)

Wow you've never been more wrong in your life about Son of The Hero King. He is definitely not a beta male and takes control of his women and gets what he wants. Trying to understand if you're dyslexic.

Many people have shared their thoughts about Son of The Hero King, already, but here are mine: I actually agree that SotHK's MC isn't likeable. He isn't the worst MC I've seen, but I heavily disliked his personality. He is not cool, he isn't interesting, he isn't relatable, complex, or anything that would make you root for him or make you want to keep reading. If you don't like this novel's MC, then I would not recommend SotHK. He rarely makes his own decisions or goes anywhere out of his own will. If you want proactive MCs, you'll have better luck looking for anti-hero MCs or villains. Just ignore the completely psychotic ones.
