The premise doesn't really make sense IMO. "I get stronger by doing nothing" - dude, you're a cultivator! Cultivating is basically just that - sitting around and magically getting stronger! You aren't special! Literally everyone else is also doing that!

Lol, they do, though. In typical cultivation novels the MC needs to cultivate *fast*, or he has some kind of special cultivation technique that consumes resources to cultivate, but none of that is actually required. For most people, there's nothing stopping them from just meditating in a good area for decades at a time.

Listen. Is meditation really all that different from being a couch potato? It's not exactly something I would consider to be "work". As it is, he's certainly not the only cultivator that indulges in some hedonism.
