Yes, and then the unexpected intelligent young master trying to deescalate the situation caused by the other db young master. Followed by the father of the dumb young master smoothing everything over because he can see true value. Cliches are inevitable... everything has already been written. What one has to do is incorporate the cliches properly and not rely on them. This novel seems to be trying to do the former.
