That's just a cheap cop out from authors that are too lazy to make the mc face hardship.

Telling the secret of transmigration and fictional world ruins a story, that is why the mc should have plot armour in regards to this. If there is a mind-reader, then the mc should have some technique or item to stop intrusions, if there is someone good at detecting lies, then they shouldn't have any conversations that could give away the mc. You can say it's cheap, but I'd rather have one small piece of plot armour than to ruin a story.

whats wrong with telling? I was always a fan of disclosing that information somewhere in a story. Even in DC it was always questionable to me that gods are paying attention 24/7 to everyone.
