Read to chapter 10, and I'm already bored. I haven't read very far, but I can tell the author is very talented... in padding out the word count. The first ten chapters could've been condensed into three or four chapters. It's constant exposition-dumps and random details that are completely irrelevant to the story. Main character has gotten a system on chapter 1, and still hasn't used it on a pet. (He can copy pets abilities and teach them to others, he hasn't taught a single pet yet) As for everything else? It's exceedingly mediocre. Theres other pet taming novels, this does nothing different. It feels like I'm re-reading this novel despite the fact I haven't read it before. Character design is pretty much identical to every other pet taming novel. Same with world background and even the plot. Overall, I'm worried that if I continue reading, I might fall asleep.

I agree that the starting starts of slow and the story development at the start is slow but, I would recommend you try to continue reading as the story is very much unlike your usual cliche pet novels, the MC doesn't have a system but awakens a skill that would be his golden spoon. The golden spoon isn't something like usual system novels, such as wipe your ass and get God level upgrade materials as rewards, in this novel the golden spoon is just a tool or talent that MC has that gives him the edge that he needs to stand out from the rest of the geniuses. The author shows a new way on how the MC can maximize the utilisation of the golden spoon that isn't even the biggest golden spoon in the novel. I would personally recommend that you give this another try, but if you have decided to drop this I respect your decision.
As the pets get more numerous and grow in power the book comes into its own. The unscientific theme manifests with increasingly mind blowing and innovative descriptions. It has long chapters that I love. This makes each chapter expensive after they start costing coins. Until the later chapters above 280 when the translator decided to start chopping the chapters into 4 or 5 parts with coin prices at 4-6. That is infuriating to those of us that are Cult Followers now!
