It's true that sometimes reviews are misleading and you can miss hidden gems like that. Examples are: Museum of Deadly Beasts, World's Best Martial Artist, A Sorcerer's Journey, Mini World of Endless Fun Awaits, Black Iron's Glory, Cultivation! My Augmented Statuses Have Unlimited Duration and probably many more. So what I do is usually trying to check out all novels, and to give myself some hope I read some scarce 5-star reviews on novelupdates or webnovel. As long as someone can convince me to try it out, then I try out.
I only tried the first 3 chapters, so my comment doesn't have much weight, but I thought the Meusum of deadly beast was pretty generic. On the other hand I have to agree that Augmented Status, I have unlimited duration was quite the great hidden gem.
