The same one could apply to aliens who are of different species to humans. Hence all humans might as well be 'family' because we are the same species and are very familiar compared to the alien. Although I haven't read the story yet, I can understand his perspective and, based on what I've read in this discussion, I agree with him. Race should not come before his family, and this includes his partner, regardless of race.

I want to add my point of view that I have on this site, what counts in the rating is almost always 4-5 in most stories on the site why? it should be a way to protect the writer but honestly i can't find good stories on this site it's hard. (Note: I've been reading for more than 5 years so I'm looking for at least an average story with some differential and mcs with an average human being's IQ.)

Sadly, that is true. There are some good novels on this website but most of them are translated (and even then most of the translations are trash). Good original novels with actually good plot are few and far in between. The issue is that the average reader base seems to like this kind of 0 effort novels so it has become a problem.
