well i hate your mc so much but romance has a future and since mc is changing there is no reason not to give it a go.

Author made really great start. In first 40 chapters he shows character of MC, who practically never left his house so it's normal that he is cowardly and naive. You can't be angry at author for that and after ch40 he has breakthrough in his character so for me it's great start. Same for world background author doesn't need to write at beginning about whole world because MC doesn't know about it much himself and you should focus on area near MC. Would you like to see dump od useless information? And talking about unreadable starts there is nothing, which hurts while reading, you can even treat first 40chapters like comedy unlike MVS which has worst ever start and I can't get through it.
