I think the ending was only a few dozen chapters away. The writing did feel like it was tying up a lot of the loose ends

nah,it would still have taken at least 200 chapters more,there were many unknown obstacles like red lotus demon venerable s revival,feng jiu ges breakthrough to venerable level(I remember he was pseudo venerable and was similar to venerables in at least talent), genesis lotus's painting pathwith fang Zheng ,spectral soul complete revival with his sanity back(it is by far the most dangerous one cuz he always seemed like a last boss with great grandmaster attainment in all paths)

what about reckless savage? theiving heaven and his goal of returning home? the novel feels halfway completed like 45-50% + with fate gu broken there is hope for many rank 8 to become vvenerables, it was mentioned that there were rank8 who passed 3d tirbulations but couldn't become vvenerables, what about beyond gu world? and limitless ? it was mentioned that he has high attaiment in wisedom path comparable to fang yuan, then how did he simply die? there are so ma'y things inexplained
