Honestly, I’m coming to dislike this MC more and more. He is cowardly and is constantly flaunting his potential around, sure it’s funny, but all he does is hide and cultivate as if once he becomes immortal he will be invincible. Which I highly doubt because 1. Dude look at the world your in no one dies from disease 2. With no fighting experience your weak no matter your cultivation 3. When you’re immortal I fail to believe you’re undying so other immortals can kill you and lastly he is acting like your typical young master spoiled thinking he need not do anything because he already has everything when he really has nothing, it’s disappointing and I’m disgusted.

i do not remember what my original argument was anymore after all I haven't read it in a whole year, I'm also not willing to go back and try it again as I remember it being painful to read. the difference between wanting to live and cowardice isn't very big, 2 u don't need to risk ur life if u have everything already, but I would have much more fun reading about a toddler get mouth fed, 3 the fighting experience is solved I guess, in the end everything screams to me wow spoiled person here, does he deserve what he is getting? if the story was not focused on power and he got loaded with op items then sure but a book that I identify as a battle focused book loading the mc with op items is a no no, like a romance or comedy with op mc is fine, the likes of opm who isn't even fighting for the most of his shonen anime u watch not much to see him fight but more to see others fight and the people get rekt fighting him he is marketed with being op so he is, but a book about the struggles to get to the top, a book like reverend insanity is top quality, this is a bad version of that, you hardly get the feeling that the mc has done anything to get this and I'm not talking about the reincarnated-with-a-system I'm talking about "wow I got a load of treasures and I'm going to hold on to this until I can kick butt and that's going to be everything" like if u want to establish a op system do it in 2 chapters and get to the action time skip if u have to, he's not doing anything to unlock what he has and is giving off vibes of how u see young masters in other books r, he doesn't feel like a main character no mc energy no story no feel of struggle no op feel nothing convinces me this is going to be a book that I will enjoy maybe it's because of the lack of cognitive ability but the enjoyment of something like art doesn't require a brain, even a idiot can praise art there's a reason why an art piece that a toddler can draw is worth tens of thousands of dollars just because a dead man drew it
Garito:1 he is not exactly cowardly, he just wants to live, so he won't go around and find problems, but if someone attacks hisabode and can harm the important things for him them he will fight as long as he can defeat the enemy; 2 flaunting his potential around, he has a good technique, a good potential, and a good place with a big amount of qi, so why go after opportunities when he can cultivate to the next level this easily; 3 in the future he get an feature that simulates the strength and techniques of everyone near him as long as he wishes, so combat experience is ez pz since he won't die, nor suffer any real damage, also the projections are mostly emotionless, the only emotion they showed at the moment I've read is pride/arrogance and this is it, so it doesn't matter wether they are his friends or not, they will fight to death and kill mercilessly; 4 he won't exactly be undying, yes that's true, but in compensation he will kill everyone easily so it doesn't matter, he tries his best to kill the enemy in less than one second; 4 it's not like he has everything, that's true, but why he would be like a young master ? he does wear all of his best treasures for his survival, he does get a lot of treasures that increase the qi on his mountain, he does get an array that protects him from attacks and from divine sense until certain level, so why would he be like a young master, it's just that he doesn't want to offend anyone, but if he is offered an treasure withou any sort of problem of going out then he will get it, if he need to go into a place with a lot of cultivators stronger than him then he will avoid doing it, he just want to live eternally and even if he does find some treasure out there, what would be the use if he died forever ? if he can't survive he will just lose all his time for going there and may not be able to even ressurect, revive or reincarnate, is this being arrogant and thinking he has everything ? no it isn't, it's just that your limited cognitive capabilities make you think that it is like this when it isn't.
I quite don't agree. First, read all 40 chapters. Second, the MC is striving to be at the point where he only needs to worry about few individuals. And not the whole cultivation world. Invincibility would be nice to have, but I think he knows this is not quite possible. He is striving for longevity. And I also don't believe that he won't have countless life-saving treasures by the time he is "immortal". And how can he collect them? By staying low-profile. And you should know that he is not afraid of having diseases, he's afraid of dying. He's acting like a "young master"? So what? If he has wealth, why don't you use it? If you don't need to do anything, why would you? I would rather call that lazy af. Given his cautious personality, it's not weird for him to not want to cultivate anywhere else, even if it has potential, if there might be hidden dangers. He already has a cave for himself, so there really is no need to. He avoids trouble, and this saves him time so he can further focus on cultivating. And literally, the motto "Hide and cultivate" is the way that's most profitable for him given that he has chosen the "low-profile" way at the start of the novel.
