An above average novel. Has similarities to Fantasy Simulator and World's Best Martial Artist. If you enjoyed those two you might like this. Not too many negative things to say. This story doesn't spice up the cultivation genre or correct many of the cliches and errors that plague it. Chu Yunfan has a chubby best friend, obtains crazy OP inheritance, etc. I could go on but you get the point. Still, you should give this story a chance. Despite the cliches this novel flows well. No crazy nationalism or rape that I read yet so that's a bonus.

I think you should read a few chapters. The similarities aren't too much just the modern cultivation world and sudden leap in power really quickly.

Fantasy Simulator is total crap not even worth mentioning, but you got me there comparing it to WBMA. I'll check Alchemy Emperor out. For me, WBMA is one of the top novels of 2020, even better than Lord of the Mysteries, shame it has been dropped like many other "unpopular" novels - Way of the Devil comes to my mind. You sure The Alchemy Emperor is as good as WBMA? Dawn of a New Era and Kung fu World for example were similar but way way way way way way worse than WBMA and I don't really expect much more from Alchemy Emperor, but maybe it won't be THAT bad.
@update Bro, you lied to me. Alchemy Emperor is nothing like WBMA, It's also prolly worse than Kung fu world lmao. If I had to compare Alchemy Emperor to anything similar, it would be "Oh My God! Earthlings Are Insane". Though Alchemy Emperor also loses out in this comparison. Either way it's not as crap as Fantasy World.
I felt it was similar only because of the modern cultivation world. My bad, didn't mean to deceive you into reading Fantasy World that...story is rough. Apologies! I'm really sorry I made you go through with reading that slop. Truly like no joke I am.

I can't say it's as good as truthfully it isn't. Just some similarities here and there. Don't put many expectations on this book as the author's previous works always go downhill about 80 chapters after the decent start. WBMA was great until around chapter 200ish and my interest started to wane.
