because in the review layout you can either put 1 star= bad or 5 star =good... If something is bad and with it being pointed out maybe the author can improve in that area. instead of just thinking only saying something is good when it's not is the only thing to do to help authors. Also for this app I look for the reviews of the novel that are more critical to decide if to read it or not. Why because people just put 5 stars when its not deserving for so many novels. I've seen novels that look like they were machine translated and people in the reviews saying the writing is great lol.
