I think it's because Hermione's in her first year, all innocent, and didn't really see house elves any differently from magical school caretakers, much like Hagrid or Filch. Honestly, I think Filch received much worse treatment and bitterness, being a Squib while surrounded by young wizards who hate him.

Problem is, especially most recent chapters (400+) are obviously AI generated with little to no effort at changing that robotic dialogue and the story has serious pacing issues. Other than that, a fine read to pass the time when you're looking for the next big novel.

As the first story I've tried writing, it's definitely not the best fanfiction you can find on this site, and far from the other Harry Potter fics that others have written. The concept of summoning is also not new, though League of Legends fans will recognise I take a lot from that lore and will continue to do so. A slightly shameless 4-star from the author. This novel is my first creation and an idea I've been brewing for a long, long time. It's heavily inspired, plot-wise, by modern knowledge type of novels, with my own twist to the protagonist and some settings from literature I like such as Pride and Prejudice. It's a light wish-fulfillment fantasy, perhaps a misunderstanding story - one I'm not sure where it might go.

2 for character because Ian in the baby drama is frankly a nuisance - prepare for it, because dramas take up 10 to 20-ish chapters, makes you really not focus on movie releases. Really the story in general, but the writing to me is satisfactory, maybe the beginning starts with the MC being bashed for things he did not do too much, but it gets OK later on.

the whole drama is dragged for 5 ish chapters now. it's a hollywood harem novel and wish-fulfillment does not really need outside drama - corporate espionage, woke-marketing (a stretch, but acceptable), actor's family small family drama, whatever. NOT whatever this baby case is supposed to be - it should have ended in 5 chapters or be told from more perspective as it advances, not Ian ruining everything, short drama scenes back to back. That's just bad pacing and filler. Sorry author the novel is good but I just had to get this out

From the VA and actor arc the grandfather's push felt (to me) more like incentive for plot? His push in all honesty could be fine if done off screen and without a lot of comment (like a passing thing) because then it won't feel like the grandfather is insulting the maturity of Alex as he's supposedly the writer of Watchmen, Back to the Future and manager of a business himself. Maybe this pairing will lead to better plot, who knows, just some food for thought? Thank you author for great story though!

The author's perspective and details while making the plot somewhat lacking in action and tension as of chapter 81, makes up with character coherence and likeability. The opening introduction and insight into Alexander's personality was quite unique, something I learnt to appreciate from the numerous lackluster SI reincarnation on this site
