Money, resources he has. Pokemon teams of every character (in case I want to use them in the future) along with their moves, abilities, etc. Basically document everything you might need in the future.
And as I kept writing the storyline, I realized that the amount of data I would have to manage will become tremendous as the fanfic proceeds further. A Venusaur, Meganium or Torterra would be quite good for that role. But, these species are very difficult to find in the Wild. Ludicolo could have been a good choice, but Lotad might be more difficult to find than Bulbasaur in Kanto. Ah definitely! Legendaries and Mythicald won't be ordinary mons in this story, especially the stronger/mysterious ones. The only ones I might not go to full extent are Jirachi (wish granting ability) and Celebi's time travel as I don't want to mess with timelines (that honestly always makes a mess of the plot even if it seems cool).
