Just a suggestion though

Wouldn't it be better if when he dies in his normal form (A one-time thing), a card will be sacrificed randomly, and then he will gain the up-to-date ability of the card sacrificed and also gain its appearance as his permanent feature.....I'd like for him to gain monster appearance too, would be much better in my opinion inorder to completely fulfill the title of the novel.

Forgive my bad reading comprehension, but does his normal form (without activating any card) inherit any ability? If no, what happens if he dies in his normal form before he could activate one?
