Every single thing or action carries way too much detail. We don’t need the disposition or the aura of random people on the streets or some unknown waiter. It’s like nothing can progress without telling us how the mc specifically feels indifference about it. This type of writing is called purple prose and this is absolutely the wrong genre for it. Makes the author seem like he is self-abusing while writing every chapter.

The writing quality drops drastically as the story continues. The worst part is probably the storytelling voice or the writing style shifts in a poor direction. Instead of using descriptions to tell the story, it shifts to a bad narration. The author starts telling you how you should feel rather than using their writing to allow you to arrive at the conclusion they are looking for. It’s a very lazy writing style in my opinion. The side characters become less and less relevant as the story progresses and their development nearly stops entirely. The worst part is the author continues to jam them in your face. This makes the story a boring slog of irrelevance that you continue to read only due to sunk cost, having paid for earlier chapters.

Yet another edgelord returner that doesn’t behave like what they have been portrayed as. Mr 9 start mage basically uses a single spell for like 100 chapters. Absolutely full of young master trope types and the MC doesn’t face slap them. He screeches at them autistically before getting beat up, so I guess you could say that’s a new spin on a tired trope.

This is mega cringe. Raze tipped his fedora first before autistic screeching at them.

Chapter unlocks should have started after this chapter. Almost stopped reading before this happened.

So much disjointed info was revealed, that I have whiplash.

So much time was spent building up to this competition, but Vale is so overpowered compared to his peers that it’s really boring. I’m sick of hiding abilities tropes.

Nick isn’t normal. He faced down the nightmare multiple times in a row even while fighting dreamer. Most people without a good perspective on life probably die the first time they are faced with it.
