Yes and no. I would give a story 2 to 3 stars if it's one that I may not enjoy, but the overall story is good even if I don't like it. However, this story was rated 4.8 when I wrote this review. I found it disappointing; I had hoped the story would have more substance. It was boring and not worth the time spent reading. It felt like a waste of hours of my life.
The protagonist's apparent lack of control over their own fate raises questions about their role in the story, casting them more as a pawn than a central figure. Despite their awareness of Doflamingo's ruthlessness, their steadfast loyalty feels unrealistic and strains believability. While it's natural for characters to admire others, the protagonist's unwavering devotion to Doflamingo seems difficult to reconcile with their knowledge of his darker deeds. It's hard to fully immerse oneself in the story when such inconsistencies arise, leaving the reader feeling disconnected and frustrated. Overall, this aspect detracts from the novel's overall enjoyment and impact.
No one wants to read this garbage. If the protagonist wasn't a girl, that would be fine. You know, it feels like the story is only about the system and not the main character. This story is stupid and trash. Why did you have to stop writing your other book just to give us this trashy book? I don't understand how your brain works, author.
The pacing of this story is incredibly fast, leaving little room for character development or attachment. The protagonist gains power too quickly, making the progression feel rushed and lacking in depth. Additionally, the narrative lacks detail, with events occurring abruptly without sufficient explanation or context. Overall, the story could benefit from a slower pace and more attention to character growth and world-building.
"I understand your point, and I think you should rewrite this story or at least this chapter. Let's change it so that the protagonist can only gain powers from beings that are strong, not from mortals who have no power whatsoever. I don't mind an evil protagonist, but I have an issue with characters being evil just for the sake of it. I'm not trying to change your story, but I'm just saying that it has to make sense why he is evil.
That is incredibly foolish. Anyone with a functioning brain would find this concept absurd. The characters in DXD are not ignorant. Are you suggesting we reduce their intelligence to that of a toddler? There are gods who have lived for millions or even billions of years in DXD, and let's not forget about Big Red; as soon as the MC comes to the world, he will 100% come to kill him. Some of these gods possess the power to foresee the future. If they see the protagonist's actions leading to catastrophe, they would likely eliminate him without hesitation. However, I'm concerned that you will grant him plot armor, as is often the case with web novel authors. Regardless of how nonsensical his actions are, everything seems to conveniently go his way. This needs to make sense.
