The story premise has a tried and true platform, but the story itself jumps off that platform and gives the same feeling as free falling into the unknown. the pacing seems rushed and jumps a bit. I find myself saying, "Uh, what?" almost every chapter I read. I read to the pay wall to give a benefit of the doubt but decided to stop at the wall.
Interesting and one of my favorite novels thus far. The development of the characters and overall power structure are steady and fast pace. When the MC gets too powerful there is something that he has to figure out or overcome. The overarching "bad guy" still making plans but we only catch the occasional glimpse.
The character development and "future" plot hints are pretty well written. The future hints come as brief side stories or a "meanwhile elsewhere" type of paragraph. The world background is sometimes glossed over but not to the point that it takes from the story. Some fight scenes take a few chapters and some power upgrades are a few day time skip. I look forward to future chapters of the novel.
