well the story is great and i like the concept a lot. but there are serveral issues with the reasoning, why not take yen with him ? he swore to tell her everything and has spent 70 years with her already ... besides why would he need to let himself get kidnapped when pakkun detected suspicious people a long time ago ? your story is great and i know it's incredily difficult to write your own plot but i think it's a bit forced in this case.

i get that it would ve boring to see them groveling at his feet but i can't really stand her calling him an idiot ... what did he do that was idiotic ? save her life ? heal her body ? offer her chances in life ? yeah truly some idiotic stuff there done by an entity that could just not care at all if he wanted.
I've learned that humans are highly adaptive creatures, I no longer get surprised when I see Jean trying to kill Aragorn, or Natalia trying to kill Aragorn. The mention of gods and how weak most of them are? That's just breakfast talk. The talks about the private affairs of the people in power on Earth? Just some casual gossip between Spark and Ms. Frost. Kitty and Aragorn planning to create "Magical Beast-girls"? That's just "common sense" according to them. Talking about the magical beast-girls, we've been receiving classes from a bald lady called The Ancient One, apparently she is the one that taught Aragorn how to portal, we've been told that normally sorcerers have to use dimensional energy but that she and Aragorn are working on a spell where we could use Aragorn as a power source. I don't know why he looked so proud of being a glorified battery, but we didn't mention it, even with all of his flaws we have come to like Aragorn, we would be ungrateful if we didn't but he is also... an idiot, our idiot at least. - Simon_Knutzen4mthCommented
I know it's hard writing fights since he is kinda op, but wouldn't his inventory be able to automatically pick up fateweaver from a distance ? id have him leave it behind on purpose to level up.
Once I was mostly healed, I struck out and cleaved clean through the achilles tendon of one of the monsters. The Silverback fell with a roar of pain, allowing me to plunge Fateweaver up through the roof of its mouth and into its brain. With the aid of my sword, I ripped a massive chunk of the dying monster's vitality out and absorbed it, healing most of my wounds. With that, there were only two of each kind of monster left, but I was also forced to abandon Fateweaver in the corpse to avoid getting turned into mush by the combined assault of the remaining Silverbacks. - Simon_Knutzen5mthCommented

why would he be interested in an acquaintance that has an civilian background and no Chakra from a trader family ? i mean this paragraph reads like she will come to leech of of them in 3 years in my opinion at least.

this take on mind altering magic is way more entertaining than hp stuff with the subtle art of leglimency xD
The spells themselves are rather basic, you channel an emotion you wish replicated, basically ram it into a weaker-willed person, profit. We spend about an hour getting the spells down until it is time for us to leave.
