also the triple bodies thing is great, because as with every LN or story in general, you know your MC will never actually die or lose completely, but here it's actually possible that MC faces a considerable setback because the reason he's never in true danger is because he's careful with his prime body.

one if not the best novels I have ever read, the quality of world building is immaculate and even more exceptionally, the story telling is amazing, the character writing is well thought out and it's impressive just how real and human the MC as well as the supporting characters are. I can give a handful of compliments as well as critics to any of the top LNs you see around, this is one of the few that I really struggle to criticise, the only thing I might say is that it's a very long novel and there isn't a clear overarching storyline that some novels have that presides over the grand arcs, main arcs and mini arcs of the story, all of which are still amazingly written and exciting to experience.

Do not waste your time reading this novel! The quality of the writing itself is often decent, and can often be entertaining, but it has one of the overall worst plots and most unsatisfying endings I've ever read in a novel. But the worst thing about it is how deceptive it is, the story has a constant feel that it's just between arcs, and once MC gets past this obstacles the story line is going to progress, there's going to be some character development, plot development, we're eventually going to find about deeper elements of the world... that's the feeling you keep getting as you read, and that feeling is sustained for 1200 chapters of the same obstacles and development repeating again and again until the story just... ends. It seems very much the author was trying to think of how to continue the story and then just gave up and put in an utterly random ending. which is very disappointing if you wasted possibly nearly a hundred hours reading this bulls**t.

honestly, I have no idea how this novel has such a high rating, with 5000+ high reviews I can only assume bots are involved. it actually makes me almost angry because the high rating inspired me to keep drudging through all the way up to nearly 700 chapters of this barely mediocre work. The MC is the most boring character ever, he has no mind or personality of his own, literally every decision, action and motivation of his is based of his "past trauma" that gets referenced about a dozen times every damn chapter. besides his reincarnation there's absolutely nothing special about him, he's not particularly intelligent, creative or skilled, aside from being an apparent psychopath, which the author doesn't let us forget, reminding us how the MCs an edgy little kid every damn chapter as well. the plot is incredibly slow moving and aimless, the whole story is split between MC studying or working on a new concept, some other form of exposition, or an extremely boring badly made repetitive battle scene that gets drawn our for about a dozen chapters. The rest of the time author spends a ridiculous amount of the story indulging in badly written romance with unlikeable shallow characters, absolutely none of which is substantial to the story, because despite our supposedly cold hearted uncaring MC getting absolutely obsessed with them each time, they don't stick around further in on the story. In fact, every time the author makes an actual interesting character, said character inevitably gets killed off, as if in their world survival rate is directly correlated to just how damn boring and badly written a character is, which fully justifies the MC constantly surviving life and death situations which spontaneously happen whenever MC drops a piece of bread.

The author is good at making up for so many plotholes or logical inconsistencies other writers make. every other school either stupidly leaves risk or ruthlessly allows risk in the name of survival of the fittest even if it means wasting many merely weaker but still valuable potentials.

The Scorpicore's help guaranteed that no student would be seriously harmed before being rescued. On top of that, such a powerful guardian defending the academy was worth far more than just meat.

doesn't even make sense though, since in theory the teachers don't let students die, so it would be insane if the monsters consistently managed to hunt students.

I feel with this, I had an issue with people staring at me or paying too much focus to me when I was a kid so I developed this extremely standoffish "aura". my whole default body language and facial expression tends to be super unapproachable.

"But Like Friya, it's also my first time being away from home, surrounded only by strangers. It helped me realize that I spent so many years hunting in the wild, that I forgot how to act like a human. Be honest with me, do I glare a lot?"

I work in a school and can tragically attest to this, so many kids will not take their lessons seriously, simply because it's cool not to do so.

'Damn! Now I remember why back on Earth I never took a babysitter job, unless I was desperate for money. Kids are so annoying, always worried about what others think of them, obsessing themselves with the stupidest things.'

A lot of people commenting don't get the point, yes in real training it's silly to have the rule, but the issue is MC is waay stronger than his opponents, so his one hit victories basically amount to him showing off and then putting down his opponents, and not giving him any useful experience either way.

"In a real-life situation that would be good, but this is just an exercise, where I lost control of my pride and bloodlust. I risked leading the others by example, making them so focused on winning that they would not learn from their fights or those of the others."

honestly, at this point it gets weird, when we were still in the complete medieval setting, paper being highly valuable made sense. but when this level of magic technology is introduced, you'd think a paper producing magic machine would've been fairly simple, considering elemental magic is the most basic form.

Vastor's heart bled at the idea of wasting so much paper, but he couldn't make a single copy of the report just for Quylla. The other students would have complained about such blatant discrimination.

definitely having a forceful reproach wouldn't work in the long run, but setting a violent counterforce in the beginning when you're job is to flip a system that's rooted to the core it's pretty much the only form.

I mean, when you consider that a single fully fledged magician is equivalent to a small army, it can be considered a reasonable investment. plus "team" might mean just one or two.

"It's an open secret in the Court, that once one gets admitted to an academy, a full team of royal spies watch their loved ones 24/7. That serves the purpose of protecting them from internal and external enemies.

at this point it's pretty clear that, even though it's been a casual implication so far, the Queen is the head honcho and matriarch of the kingdom.

The Duke had defended his son's action until the verdict and ended up serving the same sentence. The Queen had stripped him of his title and all of his possessions, passing them to the next of kin.

my favourite inbetween compromise is elegant magicians who wear impeccable suits. Klein from LOTM is my favourite example.

magic association wipes out a whole family for having an apprentice being threatened. imagine if some backwater noble manages to kidnap a full status magician.

it's a nice change of pace that one of the earlier villains isn't some impeccable and cunning schemer that requires the MC to suddenly turn into a perfect Sherlock to defeat. far more logical too.

The Countess could only curse herself for always ignoring her husband's hobbies. She had no idea who Nana was, or what repercussions messing with her could have. Koya knew nothing about magic, except what her cousin, Genon told her in the past.

so basically the mage association is probably the top power in the kingdom, maybe allowing a superficial submission or equal standing to the royal court, but probably being the real true power.

why are they saying "*just* another Gu Changge" Gu Changge would have had the title of the strongest young daoist in the Azure region anyways if Kuangren hadn't defeated him, considering he already took on the other 6 major sects.

For some time, Chu Kuangren has become a target of scrutiny for all the Sky-prides around the world. It did not matter whether the critics themselves were powerful, everyone had something to say about him, as if they themselves could look mightier doing that.
