not aging is just and aspect of immortality, with true immortality you don't die no matter you can get hurt but you'll always live and since regeneration is also an aspect of true immortality you won't get sick or stay with amputated parts.

If he makes 200 shadow clones train for 3 months straight that'll be 49 years of experience and if he make 500 instead that'll be 123.3 years of experience so if he focuses on chakra control alone he should have perfect chakra in 3 months at worst and 1 week at best so this is just great reward with basically no consequence
In conclusion. I'm stuck with a pain in the ass Giant Sand Racoon for a Chakra boost, and my Chakra progress was slowed down.
