It's an okay read so far. The author really didn't hold back with making the MC OP, and while it's not the best thing for a story, at least he wasn't held back due to a convoluted and forced plot. Also, the MC doesn't seem to be stupid so far, unlike a lot of other OP MCs who have had to be dumbed down for plot reasons. I wonder what the next world will be though.
The story is all over the place. You have characters from other series being introduced, other power systems such as magic from Fairy Tail and bending from AtLA, characters suddenly being introduced with no warning, characters having the wrong names at times, and overall the writing feels incredibly inconsistent. The author also seemed to switch to using AI after around 20 chapters or so, which while it was a good decision, it came at the cost of making the story feel robotic and soulless. Further editing is needed, because there's barely any dialogue between characters, and even what is there reads like something out of a ChatGPT prompt. So much of the writing after chapter 19 is very much tell and not show, which, along with the subsequent chapters being written by AI, is mainly the reason why the story feels so detached from emotions. We do not feel the internal turmoil the protagonist feels throughout the story, nor the intensity of the clashes that the characters go through, it's simply something like: "MC gazes at the children whose parents he killed and is giving a proper burial to. Their gazes convey their sadness and grief at the sight. They ask MC's name. The MC tells them, and they run away in fear." This is literally a scene from the novel; I just paraphrased it to fit in this review. Just look at how dull and lifeless that quote sounds. The author didn't even bother making the MC actually say what he needed to say here. Not even gonna touch on the plot since it's incredibly convoluted. All I can say is that it's rather reminiscent of Chinese fantasy novels, which is NOT a good thing in my books. So yeah, not a good read in my eyes.
Yay! We're finally getting Brook! I would love to see the reunion between him and Laboon, god knows the guy deserves it after seeing his crewmates die and becoming alone for decades. I'm honestly surprised he didn't go insane, but I guess that's just another thing that proves that One Piece humans are Built Different. Also, thanks for the chapter!
Yeah, at this point it would be surprising if Luffy wasn't the one to change the world. I also wonder if he can manage to kill an admiral in the war. I mean, he did almost end up killing Akainu, but they're going to the headquarters of the Marines so I find that scenario rather unlikely unless he specifically targets an admiral. Thanks for the chapter btw!
Actually painful to read. If it weren't for me recognizing all those terms that cultivation novels use, I wouldn't have been able to understand a single paragraph of this due to its poor grammar. I can't even comment on the plot since the poor writing makes this novel really uncomfortable to read through. Please author, use Grammarly, or hell, use AI.
He really does though. He's already taken his own territories, fought two admirals simultaneously with barely any scratches afterwards, and had managed to strongarm the Elders into an agreement. The only reason he hasn't been crowned as the Fifth Emperor is because he's way too new as a pirate and he's not yet on par with those four monsters in pretty much all aspects, though he's quite close.
Now that's a good bro right there. I mean, Fang Qing did think that something was amiss with the MC's situation, but that doesn't mean he has bad motives nor does it invalidate his actions. Too bad for the three-eyed guy though. I swear, acting like a young master never ends well in these books. Thanks for the chapter dude!
Aw man, it's kind of a bummer to not see anyone get killed by the meteor, but I suppose it was a matter of course. It would be rather pathetic if they weren't able to defend their holy land from just one attack. Still, I do look forward to them meeting Brook and Perona, then them going through Sabaody. We'll pretty likely see some pigs getting slaughtered there, considering the preview of the war that was seen in an earlier chapter. As always, thanks for the chapter dude!
Wow, this was a mess. It didn't even bother to give a proper introduction to the MC. The writing absolutely sucks, the run-on sentences and lack of punctuation make it hard to read, and the pacing is incredibly bad. Also, inserting Goku into MHA? Do you want the world to be destroyed? Why give him all that power when he can't even use most of it unless he wants to destroy the entire solar system? All in all, it's not worth reading this, as it goes way too fast for readers to actually take in the plot and I'm pretty sure there's gonna be some convoluted bs that the author pulls because the MC will literally bulldoze through everyone otherwise.
Ok, so the Trial Arena item was... irritating, but imo it was genuinely needed; the Body Arena was so he doesn't get too ahead of himself, and the Spirit Arena was so he could actually take some time to reflect on himself and ask some long-awaited questions about the nature of his transmigration. Because there have been signs of both of these being the case, with him being somewhat affected by Tony Stark's template and not taking the time to slow down and ruminate. Thanks for the chapter btw!
Ooh, I wonder what the consequences of this are, because I don't think even Imu is so haughty that she can ignore a blatant attack at their home base, especially if some pigs end up dying because of it, which I kinda doubt since they still do have their knights, and iirc the elders are also at Yonko-level in strength. Thanks for the chapter btw!
Ahahahaha! I literally laughed out loud when Luffy gave out the command to bombard Mariejois. I so badly want to see the looks on the Elders' faces when they see their celestial pigsty getting destroyed by some rookie pirates who hadn't even been on the sea for half a year yet. Thanks for the chapter!
I thought I was reading an entirely different story at the beginning of the chapter lol. But yeah, this is shaping up to be better than the previous version, at least imo. Don't get me wrong, it was quite fun to read, but the way the story went made me legitimately baffled at times, like how the OP arc was cut incredibly short and didn't seem to serve as anything other than filler, and him joining the Shinigami, while it did lead to enjoyable moments, was always a point of confusion for me, especially since he likely spent centuries doing nothing but training when he could have just gone to other worlds and gain strength and experience that way.
