This is the first comic that I have read here. I was a big fan of manga before health issues no longer let me see them as clearly. But I pushed through this one because the plot, character development and story hooked me. I even bought coins which is a rarity for me. However, the end was - disappointing. Throughout the story, there was this constant build-up, We had a lot of sub-plots and undercurrents which built up the intrigue, and as we got closer to chapter 100, I expected another 100 chapters as it felt more as if we were coming to the end of a story arc rather than what we got - the end of the story itself. It felt unfinished and that constant build-up had nowhere to go. Yes, we got a sweet ending - but it left you feeling as if you needed more and not in a good way. It was like getting halfway through a novel and the rest of the pages were left blank, or watching a good movie only for the screen to go blank mid-way. For that reason alone, I ended up giving it just 3 stars.

Honestly I just clicked on this randomly to get my daily reward points. So I wasn’t expecting much. Yet this has surprised me, I’ve already laughed out loud at the FL actions. There are issues with pronouns (aren’t there always) and misspellings from translating but it oan’t enpugh to pull me from the plot - would it be better if edited and fixed - most definitely but overall it doesn’t make reading impossible. I’m only up to chapter 16 so far but as of toght now I would definitely recommend, it doesn’t seem to heavy to angsty and might prove to be a pleasent and fun read if the characters persnalities and authors humour remain the same throughout.

When I originally came across this, I was looking forward to giving it a chance. Unfortunately, while the premise seemed interesting, the grammar and incorrect pronouns are jarring. I can ignore mistakes to a degree but the consistency of them in the first 6 chapters was took away any pleasure there might have been in reading it. Unless such things don’t bother you, and can be over looked, it may prove to be worth the read - but unfortunately for me I would rather fine the raws and MTL myself as I won’t pay to read this translation.

Honestly, I found the premise interesting, rebirths are one of my favourite genres. And the quality isn’t bad - however that makes the consistent use of the wrong pronouns that much more difficult to over look especially as it is not a genuine mistake every so often - its more surprising when they get the correct gender and I got to chapter 10, I believe before I just couldn’t read any futher. This is one I will go look for the raw. But if such a little thing like that doesn’t bother you, then definitely give it a try. I just can’t, it throws me from the plot especially when the standard is otherwise higher than others I’ve read, its such a little thing but for me its a big reason I can’t read on. Especially knowing if I do like it, I’m expected to pay a ridiculous amount to continue and the standards tend to drop alot as soon as you hit the locked chapters.

Review as of Chapter 247 - not sure if I will finish reading. I’m conflicted about this novel. I want to like it, I really do and in the beginning I was hopeful because honestly I’m a sucker for a Historical Transmigration novel and they will always be my first choice. However, I just can’t connect to the FL, I find her very one dimensional and with very little character development. If you like a strong, all powerful FL with a Golden Finger, then this novel might be for you, but for me personally I found it being quite boring after the same scenario different situation for 100+ chapters - there was nothing that she couldn’t do and didn’t need nothing or no-one to achieve her end goals. When reading the FL seemed to be written in a very ML role, and the ML’s sister seemed more like her FL and when she isn’t focused on levelling up, she main focus remains on Ji Xiao Ying. And her attitude towards those who don’t instantly believe in her medical abilities in their very first meeting is frustrating. You either believe her instantly with no proof or she’ll lose her temper and refuse to try to even help. Other than there there is very little to speak about in terms of other characters, there is no that really stood out to me. But I think I could have continued to read the novel to the end, because these thoughts are just my own preferences in what I enjoy in a character, but I can put these aside if I find the plot interesting and for this novel the plot moved forward at a steady pace, with a number of interesting twists and plot lines. However, the translation quality made this impossible, with confusing sentence structure, mixed up paragraphs. Wrong pronouns, wrong names or inconsistent spelling, it made reading extremely difficult and I will not pay the ridiculer amount that WebNovel wants for low quality translations. I love supporting authors and translators because of the hard work and dedication that goes into their work but I will not pay for a badly MTL badly edited (if it was edited at all), which I actually have to go find the original text just to understand what is happening.

Overall if you not looking for anything too heavy, then this will suit you. My issue is that there’s no growth in the character, especially the FL. She remains the same, with quite a bland personality for all her all-toundness in terms of skills sets. So far there has been nothing that has made her panic or struggle - and that gets boring for me personally. Nothing has moved forward - not the ML/FL, not the plot, not the antagonist or the reason for the emmity between them. The FL started off too strong and has nowhere to grow as she gives the feeling of needing nothing or no-one, everything just falls into place. I’m disappointed we know every little of her past or the ML’s - only crumbs even 150 chapters in, we only got a brief paragraph about her adopted father who ‘was very kind to her’ but she seems to have little attachment or care for. I find myself drifting when reading, its not one I’ll be hanging out for updates, but will probably catch up on when bored.

Gotta admit, if she pulls a car out - sorry I won’t be reading no more. I can get behind using a spatial space in ancient times - even enjoy it, but l don’t like the completely absurd. I read historical novels for the historical setting and everything that comes along with that, not for some ridiculous cheats using modern technology, I’d go read a modern day novel if I wanted that. I get that its the author choice and I respect that that where they want to take it but its not something I’d pay to read if it takes that direction.

If you’re looking for a simple, quick read then this is definitely a choice for you. There’s not alot of drama or scheming involved but quite a lot of sweet love overload. The grammar is good, and names and pronouns are consistent. There are some frustrating things - I can’t understand why she doesn’t continue to study medicine in the book world, it would make things alot easier - especially as she loves it so much and has never voiced a want for the easy life of a rich madam’s life. That and her strength which crossed over with her? I’m not a fan of that. If someone crosses over then the physical attributes of the host shouldn’t change.

I really liked the premise of the novel. Unfortunately the grammar was too much of a challenge, it was just too confusing to following which overshone what seemed to be a really good read. It just wasn’t worth struggling through. If this is ever edited I would definitely give it another chance.

After giving up on various novels, I came across this as one of the daily free reads and fell in love with it. The character development and paced movement of the plot caught ans kwpt my attention - so much so that this is the only novel I have paid to keep reading after its free period ended as I typically I can’t justify the price of the coins and how little they actually buy you. My only issue with the novel (and the site itself) and my main reason I don’t like paying for the coins. The quailty of translation, which seems to instantly drop after you actually start paying for locked chapters. If I am expected to pay probably over £100 to read a complete novel then at the very least someone can make sure its translation quailty is good and that the characters names are correct and consistent, that the right pronouns are used and that things being said make sense and not me having to try and figure out why a character asked a mudslise to bury him. I don’t mind paying to read a book, I enjoy reading and love supporting the authors and the decication of translators - not MTL’s.

I’m struggling with this novel. The translation quality and the pace of the novel is great. But my issue is the FL. Now this is just me personally, others might love her personality but I find her boring and a little too clinical. I like faults in a character, just enough for them to seem relatable and this FL is just too perfect, which makes her bland for me. I can’ connect to her emotionally and that frustrates as I was looking forward to this one. But when you’re enjoying and connecting more with the side characters more than the FL, you can kinda tell this novel won’t be for you. I was hoping for more to happen round her family, especially after reading the summary and her family is still nothing more than of a footnote 200 chapters in. It’s lucky if we get more than 2 paragraphs of an interaction after the 50 chapter mark. We get a lot more of the friendship and career aspect rather than family so I found that disappointing. I probably continue but it’s not a novel I’ll be unable to put down and lose sleep over. But not bad if you need something to put in the time.

No. You can’t have me giggling at 4am like a demented chipmunk only to have me crying seconds later with a old loyal puppy. Not fair!

Hopefully this one will be picked up. The plot, while its been done before seems interesting, and the progression speed of the plot is good. Translation so far is pretty good minus some mix up in pronoun’s occasionally. Definitely one I’ll be keeping an eye out for and if it’s not picked one I wouldn’ t mind finding the raws for!
