Bro, please proof read. You have lots of grammar mistakes, even if they are just a couple words every few paragraphs. It's still readable but it knocks me out of the immersion.

He doesn't even try to soften the blow, it's blunt and fast. It's not that he doesn't care but it's the way that it comes across.
