I have been enjoying the story this far. I appreciate how flawed the main character is, and I appreciate the growth that has taken place. Things don't come to her just because she's the lead, but because they all work for it. There's a fair bit of mystery and intrigue. I think at times the flow is a bit off, with the occasional grammatical errors, but overall, very good.

Hey there! I totally get not wanting to front load with exposition. It's always hard trying to find that balance! And I like where things have been going, so I'm excited to see how it all comes together. Mixing genres and historical eras can be really fun, which is something I do like about this story, so keep up the good work :)

I have thoroughly enjoyed this story so far. I feel like the characters are well developed, and that it has a good mix of humor and mystery. I know the author mentioned that English is not a first language, but you can hardly notice. If I were to be critical, then I would say that the only thing that feels a little on the back burner is the world building. I feel like that the mix of technology added to the constant conquest could possibly use more time to flesh out. But on the whole, it doesn't distract me from the story much.
