Not gonna lie, those things freak me out.
Every building had ventilation, even bunkers, and safe houses. Pretty much everything that lived needed air, well, except for tardigrades, a.k.a water bears. My mouse wasn't too interested in going all the way down to the ground, however. She stopped maybe about seven feet in the air and started running to the end of the alley, still clinging to the brick of the restaurant.
