As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. Eliminate Those Ones As Fast As Possible

"Tell me the truth," said the bitch from apartment three after my words had finished echoing around us. "You are one of their madams sent here to make sure that we cooperate with their grand plan."

I raised an eyebrow and looked down at the teenager in my arms. She gave me a weary smile before burrowing her head back into my chest.

"Would it make you feel better if I said yes?" I asked, closing my eyes and trying to fight my natural instincts of running.

The fact that I had a wolf in my arms was making my mouse cautious as fuck. The fact that I was locked up and threatened with being sold to a man who was not my mate was sending anxiety throughout my whole body.

And given the fact that I could get out of here on my own… well, I had caught the thought more than once from my mouse about where she went wrong with teaching me how to survive.
