As I said, this is the holiday season so I was taking time to celebrate with my family. I apologize for trying to defend myself. but I will still be updating the two stories around the same time. maybe around 3 chapters a day for this one while 1 to 2 for the other.

I think so too. I designed it so MC will be weak emotionally in the beginning of the story and mature as the story goes on. I think it's boring if the MC is mentally prepared to handle all the dangers of the pirate world immediately. No one is, they need to readjust their mental psyche, it's just going to take a little while before MC does.

It's because of the dark dark fruit, in canon amplifies the damage taken by the user. that is because he is absorbing everything he touches. IDK. just repeating what I found out.
The next 4 months were different. After establishing his foundation, in addition to his morning work out schedule, Zed made sure to teach him the basics of of rokushiki or the martial arts of the marines. He was asked which art he would like to master first and Percy quickly selected tekkai or the iron body. He had to ensure that he could take a hit successfully because of the weakness of his devil fruit. Receiving double damage for every hit was harsh for Percy, but the upside of his devil fruit was still worth it. Next he learned soru, the martial art that allows the user to move at superhuman speeds. He figured that with his speed, no one would be able to catch him and he can use his abilities from a far distance to attack. This proved to be a deadly combination for Percy because after sparing with Zed, he noticed that he was able to get closer to hitting his teacher with each passing day. I think he just reached vice admiral. he's young in it. I don't want the MC to be too overpowered to soon or the story will be over before it begins. I would like at least some interactions between MC and luffy and the crew. I think it would be interesting to watch as luffy watch them get stronger while helping the revolutionaries in the background. as i said in the beginning, the MC hates the celestials. you know slaves and all that.

story changes after the first arc. there is no mention of runes after mc enter the academy. it seems like the author got lost in too much different plot points and instead decided to steer the story a different direction from his original idea. it is like two totally different stories from before the academy to after. I hope the author considers writing a proper story next time. that or writes one about runes because that is way more interesting than about a beast system.
