36 Roger Pirates Pt.1

The met on a small island 20 miles away from the main island of the Kupp Isles. One hero, 3 vice admirals, 10 rear admirals, 40 captains, 100 commanders and thousands of lower level marines stood on one side looking at their enemies. There in front of the amassing army stood one man, Gol D. Roger, behind him stood the Dark King Rayleigh. Following those two were 30 or so pirates, each with a broad smile on their faces.

"HAHAHAHAHA Garp my old friend, is it that time again?" Roger said as he was staring at his rival.

"BWAHAHAHAHA. Roger, this time I'll finally arrest you, I sank a couple of islands practicing to spar with you again."

Both men stood with wide grins on their faces. They stared at each other while the men behind them were glaring at the other party.

Percy was behind Garp and looked at the future pirate king and was shocked. His observation haki was already activated and he was getting overwhelmed by the sheer aura exuding from the man in front.

[He's strong] Percy thought as he kept his eyes on Roger, [way too strong. I doubt I can land a hit on him right now]. For the second time since Percy transmigrated, he felt the difference in power between him and his opponent; the first was Shiki, and now he experienced it again.

"Boys!" Roger said as he turned around to look at his men, "rob them of everything they got!" Roger said while pointing at the marines.

"For justice!" Garp yelled as he yelled as he started to sprint towards his rival.

The battle had begun.

*********************************************************************************************************[I knew that this wasn't going to be easy] Percy said as he fought one of Roger's men. Percy coated his darkness in haki as he tried to thrust it into the nearby pirate. The pirate dodged and fired a bullet towards the vice admiral. Percy turned and dodged as he used observation haki to predict the bullet's trajectory.

They have been fighting for 3 hours, and neither side had an advantage. The Roger pirates may seem small in number, but they make up for it in strength. As Percy looked around, many lower level marines were either knocked out or wounded. Still though, marines filled in the ranks. Every time one marine was taken down, another one replaced him.

[Fighting with numbers, how marine like] Percy thought as he started to focus on his opponent. This wasn't even Taro, his intended target; but he couldn't reach him before dealing with Taro's friends.

[black hole] Percy used his now famous technique to try cover the ground in darkness. He intended to absorb some of the pirates and crush them, but they started to coat their feet with haki and escaped his trap.

Percy had an ugly expression on his face as he noticed how easily the pirates were able to break free from his darkness. [I guess from now on, I will be coating all my attacks in haki] Percy thought as he summoned darkness around him to surround the pirates and crush them.

Some of the pirates who were fleeing were caught by the wisps of black smoke and were dragged back in. The darkness' attraction was too strong. They again tried to break free with haki, but noticed that it was now impossible.

[Haki!] they thought as they started to exert more effort. Three of them escaped, the four that remained weren't so lucky. As they darkness surrounded the pirates, a slash came out of nowhere and broke apart the darkness.

Percy turned around to see Rayleigh, running at him with a smile on his face

"And you must be the secret weapon the navy was talking about. Rayleigh said as he sent another slash towards Percy. The vice admiral tried to dodge, but was unable to because of how fast the attack came. Instead, he used armament haki plus covered himself in darkness to try tank the hit.

"Ughh!" Percy said as he was sent backwards crushing a couple tress along the way. The pain was intense and he needed to absorb the pain before the first mate tried to attack again. He quickly summoned the darkness and the pain disappeared just in time to look up to see Rayleigh standing before him.

"You're not there yet young man" Rayleigh said as he grinned at the still bent over Percy. "Someday you will, but not today."

Percy felt indignant. He thought that Rayleigh was mocking him, so he mustered up his strength, gathered the darkness and forced it towards the Dark king.

Instantly, a dark wave of smoke appeared and rushed across the beach. Both marines and pirates were caught up in the attack and it swept across the entire battlefield. Percy was not in control of his emotions and started to crush everyone that was caught, regardless of if they were friends or foe.

"All crush!" Percy shouted as he imbued haki into his attack and started to compress everyone inside his attack. Some of the stronger individuals instantly escaped such as Garp, Roger, and Rayleigh. Others, were not so lucky. Percy could hear their screams before Garp ran over to him and punched Percy in the face.

When Percy got up and looked around, he saw black smoke permeating throughout the beach and Garp standing over him.

"What the hell are you doing!" Garp yelled at Percy, furious that he caused friendly fire. "Are you even aware of what you're doing right now!"

Percy was confused for a second before it dawned on him. He immediately released everyone that was dragged into his element. When they got out, both pirates and marines looked at Percy in terror as well as apprehension. They did not want to go through that again.

The battlefield was quiet before Garp looked at Roger and said, "my apologies Roger, it seems like he can't control his own strength. That being said, I still need to arrest you."

Roger had a serious expression on his face, turned around, noticed that everyone was still alive and sighed in relief. "Of course Garp" he said as a smile reappeared on his face, "you still need to give us all your loot."

And so, once again, the battle began.

Percy on the other hand, took a second to take a break. That last attack really drained him and he needed a couple of minutes to recover.

[I need to work on observation haki] he thought as he watched the battle continue.
