I am a big fan of VRMMORPG works, I've read all the major works in this trope, and yet this one positively surprised me. Despite the protagonist starting the story being quite unpleasant, he evolves a lot over time. In fact, we can say that this book is more about the growth of the protagonist, both in terms of power and in maturity and personality, rather than focusing on the VR aspect. The protagonist's evolution is realistic and gradual but very enjoyable. Another interesting aspect is that there is very little plot armor in this story. The protagonist is a competent player, but he loses a lot and often doesn't get the best rewards. The reason for this is quite simple: he's a newcomer 'pro-player' competing with many veterans. That said, the other players are important to the plot; they are indeed veterans and professional players, and they act accordingly. So, there's no protagonist monopolizing all secret quests or legendary rewards. The protagonist trains and dedicates himself a lot to make up for the differences in both physical abilities and experience, and it's enjoyable to read. So, if you want to read a VR story with a hardworking and dedicated protagonist, this is the story you've been looking for.
It's precisely that, and at the same time, not. Basically, he goes into a berserker mode and uses his swords to the best of his ability with the sole purpose of killing his target. In the early levels, he just swings the swords non-stop, but as he becomes more skilled in fencing, that skill is added to "Kill".
It's a Harry Potter harem, I don't like harem, and it didn't have a harem tag, so fix that. The biggest problem with this book and what keeps me from giving it a higher rating is the pace. The protagonist evolves very slowly, and because it's a harem, many times the story stops progressing for a while to give the proper focus to the female characters. This would be okay normally, but in this case, it doesn't work very well. After all, the main appeal of the work is to be similar to Harry Potter and the whole magical school universe, potions, magical creatures, and everything else, not cheap sex and lovesick girls at every corner. If you like harem and magic, it might be a good read.
Wow, our protagonist is acting like an angry child. I completely understand that he wanted to eliminate his enemies, but there are more sensible ways to do that. I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the protagonist and his recent behavior. He lacks an ounce of emotional maturity.
Why didn't he break the time limit as well?
I will attempt to evaluate what I thought of the first 100 chapters of this novel, hoping it helps both the author and potential new readers. First, this novel is undoubtedly a solid 4, and don't take offense at this rating. Webnovel reviews are so inflated, with people using 1 or 5 stars to rate everything, that many might think a 4 is bad. In reality, it's an excellent rating. The work has several qualities; the writing is certainly good. The author can construct the settings well, making the reading very smooth. However, the author's weak point in writing is the combat scenes. When they're not extremely short, they are incredibly confusing, with the exception of chapter 105 (a chapter I personally didn't like, but was well-written and likely excited many people).Initially, the work managed to balance "showing instead of telling" with occasional expositional dialogues. These dialogues were interesting and made sense because they were tied to expanding the background story of the village. However, mainly after the end of the first volume, most of the expositional dialogues mainly served to explain concepts such as "open heart," "mana," etc. At times, we had 3 or 4 consecutive chapters full of extremely long and tiring expositional dialogues. I don't think they were necessary, as most of these new concepts introduced were easy to understand and could have been addressed in a more organic and enjoyable way.Honestly, even though the work was tiresome at times, it was worth reading, and I will continue reading it. The characters are charismatic and well-written. The protagonist is quite likable and has distinct characteristics and a well-defined personality, unlike most protagonists in other novels who are shallower than a spoon. But the main reason motivating me to keep reading is the potential this work has. The author is always open to feedback, which is also a great sign. There were several little things that bothered me during my reading so far, but honestly, most of these I can consider just personal preferences. I can easily see a good number of readers enjoying these things I didn't like.Lastly, the sentence that sums up this work in my opinion is this: "very entertaining, except for all the moments when the author treated me like a four-year-old and explained the obvious.
desagradável, que o MC tenha quase morrido, e o máximo que ele ganhou foi um buff temporário e uma habilidade de utilidade duvidosa...
quebrei com o: "surpreendentemente, Brasil ..." hauahau
this sentence was strange, the protagonist is a veteran player, but this sentence makes it seem that he only assumes the functioning of mana, something he should be quite used to.
