I think it would make more sense if magic in humans originated from interbreeding with magical species. Flitwick, Hagrid, and Fleur are all proof that Goblins, Giants and Veela can mix with humans. It would also make it extremely ironic that all the pure bloods disparage different species if their powers all originated from their ancestors getting in bed with those same creatures.
I would agree, except the reason he became a psychopath in the first place was because he lost his family. So him travelling with them like this, and treating them like the family he lost, actually makes perfect sense in my mind. But to each their own.
Ok that’s completely fair. And thank you for responding. I honestly love the way you are using a small aspect of Enel’s devil fruit ability to make it seem like your MC has a completely different power set. It’s super unique. After going back and watching Enel vs Luffy, I do see that the way Enel manipulated metal was more advanced than I originally thought. I guess I just didn’t expect him to have this much control. And if you’re introducing other metals later then I have nothing to say on that matter and I look forward to reading it 🫡
You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding about lightning so allow me to clear up a few things. First, lightning doesn’t move at the speed of light, it’s actually a lot slower and doesn’t move in a straight line. Second, the damage caused by the worst lighting storm in all of earths history doesn’t even come close to the damage caused by the worst volcanic eruption. Lightning may burn hotter than magma, but the destructive potential of a volcano is far greater than that of lighting. Third… ok, I’ll admit this one’s less about lightning about more about metal, but my point still stands - Silver and copper are both more conductive than gold while being denser and less expensive. Pure gold is pretty easily damaged and just serves to paint a target on his back. Enel was also never shown to possess that level of control over the gold he wields and your story didn’t really show your MC training in that manner so it kind of came out of no where. Sorry if this is nitpicky, I really do enjoy the story, I just had to say that or it would sit in my brain and annoy me as I kept reading. I really am loving it so far I swear 😅
Fantastic chapter. I would have liked a bit more explanation in to what the dragon vein was doing to him though. You could have said something along the lines of- “just like the plant life in the cave that bloomed and withered in an endless cycle, the cells in his body were in a constant state of rebirth”
Im really liking this, but if you ever come back to these chapters to do some edits I have a suggestion. His creations should be like actual creatures. His glasses could have ‘arms’ that help cling to his head. The cord for his headphones could move like a snake. The key he used could have an eye on it. Everything he makes should posses some trait or characteristic that shows they are actual creatures and not just objects.
All the women have good personalities? Where did you get that from? I’m honestly curious because other than his mother and this new girl none of the other female characters are even remotely respectable. Silvia was portrayed as stuck up and she looked down on everyone for not being as perfect as she was. Then there is Saya someone Ren had a crush on, and was friends with for years until she ditched him in his past life once people started calling him Ren the Rat. So tell me, where have you seen these good women with good personalities? Because it’s definitely not in this story.
The sad thing is Ron wasn’t just getting hand me downs, he was getting hand me downs of hand me downs. Things the twins got from Percy, Bill and Charlie were passed down to him. Everything from his books, his wand, his robes and even his owl and pet rat were third-fourth generation hand me downs. It was made even worse when Ginny was born, since everything she got was brand new. Honestly Ron gets way too much flack due to the movie creators piss-poor interpretation of the character. I seriously hope this author isn’t another Ron hater. It’s become way too common these days.
