It's very cringy. It comes out of nowhere and doesn't make much sense. Is she a seer? Or a prophet? I get it that this is fantasy but let his actions make him into a legend, not some random nobody know that he will be the next big thing that will dominate everything. Wouldn't she go all out and buy him if she realy thought like that? So yes it is cringe. That is my answer to your question.
