It's not wrong. The author alternates between present and past tense in the novel. Every sentence should be past tense.

Why does webnovel remove paragraphs?? Makes it way less legible. There was supposed to be a paragraph, where there is currently a missing space.

Not a bad novel for webnovel standards. I had to drop it though because I really can't warm up to the main character. He is an absolute simp/creep and a lot of stuff is way to cringe for my taste.

It's a mess. It has horrible grammar, even for webnovel "standards". It also reads like something that is written by an elementary school kid.Author is too cheap to get a proofreader or fix any errors.This is especially disappointing since the premise of the story (even though it's not even original) seems like the kind of thing I would enjoy.Also makes one wonder about the 4 stars in writing quality. Are there so many fake reviews or are people on webnovel just so numb to this kind of grammar/bad story writing?

Why is everyone so negative? I think the story is quite nice so far, especially compared to other stories on webnovel. Also doesn't feel like a huge info dump or anything.

This sounds horribly unnatural because of the "by the way". It should also end with a '?' since it is a question.

"I heard he is only 17 years old now." "Yes, he is only 15 years old now" - this great novel. This novel is truly a mess. Everything is inconsistent.... names, power systems, numbers. Some paragraphs just get randomly repeated. It feels like the author just put 3 random different novels together. ~1-70 rune system, which completely disappears after that and never even gets mentioned again (as do all the characters we get to know up to that point, including his fated partner and sworn loyal servant). Then ~70-350 beast system, with exp and levelling for killing. And after that he gives up all his beasts for a mission and basically starts all over again with a different kind of beast system again and leaves behind all characters from the mid part as well. Never seen such a mess before. Definitely not worth spending any money on.
