The Pain

In the Class:

Two lectured were passed. The third lecture is of DATA STRUCTURE. The Professor entered the class and started teaching. While he was teaching, he called Stephen's name and asked him to stand up.

"Are you alright", The professor asked.

"uh, Yes Sir", He replied.

As he stood up, I saw in his eyes. Although he was sitting far away from my seat, I can see the pain in his eyes easily. Suddenly, I noticed my eyes were full of tears. It was like, I was feeling his pain. His painful eyes were hurting my heart.

"Do you have any problem?", The professor asked him again.

"Sir, Actually I have stones in my stomach. Sometimes it hurts too much. That's why I was not able to pay attention to what you were teaching.", Stephen replied.

"Oh, I knew it. This pain hurts too much. I also had stones before. Which medicine you are taking?", He asked.

"Sir abcd medicines", Stephen mentioned the name of the medicine.

"Oh, okay. Please come to me after class. I have the pain removal medicine for the same. I'll give them to you", He said.

"Okay sir", Stephen replied.

"If you are not feeling good, you can go and take rest", The Professor said calmly.

"No, I am fine Sir", Stephen replied.

"Okay", The Professor replied.

When the lecture gets completed, Stephen went to his office.

We went back to the hostel after attending the lectures.

In my room:

I was feeling anxious since that lecture. "How is he now. Should I ask him about his condition?", I asked myself.

I was so lost in my thought that I didn't notice Deera.

"What are you thinking, Myra? I had called three times, but you didn't respond to my voice. Are you alright?", Deera asked.

"Deera, Stephen has stones problem. He was in pain today", I said to Deera.

"Oh, how is he now?", She asked.

"I don't know. Should I ask him", I asked.

"Yes, Of course. You two are classmates and also in the same NGO. You should ask him", She replied.

"Ok", I said.

Then I messaged him.

"Hi", I typed.

"Hello, Myra", He replied.

"How are you feeling now?", I asked.

" I'm good. Sometimes the pain occurs, but I can bear it.", He replied.

"Since when you have this problem", I asked.

While chatting with him, I was feeling the same pain again.

"Sice 3 months", he replied.

"Oh, how much time it will take to become normal?", I asked curiously.

"About one month", He replied.

"Ohhh, take care of yourself", I replied.

"Yeah, thanks for your concern. It means a lot", he messaged.

"You're welcome, Get Well Soon", I said.

"Yes", he replied.

*** Chat ended.

After talking to him, I felt relaxed.

I searched about the stones problem that night. The pain, its causes, cure, etc.

I just want to help him anyhow. But there was nothing I could do for him.

I saw his profile picture, It was from the event. There was a huge smile on his face in the picture. I felt happy after seeing his picture.

"I don't know what are these feelings. I am just concerned for him. I don't want to see him in pain. This smile suits him" I thought.

"Oh God, please help him", I prayed and went to bed.

When I closed my eyes, I saw his painful eyes and smiling face. I went to sleep while thinking about him.
