avoid at all costs. this novel feels like 2 completely different novels. where one chapter doesn't flow to the next chapter. characters own history and experiences literally change within a scope of 1 chapter. besides the usual poor quality if being able to keep the proper gender pronouns, the novel literally feels like a 100% new novel at chapter 200. that's because the characters experiences which we knew of have all changed, their personality changed and everything else has changed. very poor job on the tler team part of ordering the chapters correctly. not worth the coins and time invested.
the translation here generally follows the flow of the storty in the raws but there are many differences, you will find the chronology of scenes jumbled and even chapters mixed, the translation added things that weren't in the raws like the MC's fights and the sect's battle, even his portrayal of being cool and composed like he planned things isn't in the raws..... still I liked the story, it's just the translation that sucks..... I will be reading from the raws cause even with it's grammar I could follow the follow the story clearer than the translation here
here are the cultivation levels for the people interested: 1.Body Tempering Realm, 2.Qi Storage Realm, 3.and Pulse Realm. 4.Origin Liquid realm, 5.Spirit Sea Realm, and 6.Primordial Spirit Realm. 7.Refined Realm, 8.Rebirth Realm, and 9.Tribulation Realm. 10.the Saint Prying realm, 11.the Entry Saint realm, 12.and the Breaking Realm
On chapter 411 The story barelY moves forward beCause , firstly for some reason they spend 20 chapters having barely significant chAracters discussing how he’s gonna lose so bad even after seeing his abilities, what should take two paragraphs takes 6 whole chapters where basically nothing happens!!! Then theres the whole sign in system which just vanished. And for ome reason instead of taking care lf his enemies directly, which he could easily do its like he enjoys them insultjng him I was so happy about finding this book at the strt but this is just hella disappointing🙁
The novel starts out strong but very quickly devolves as scope creep gets introduced. The author seems to jump from major plot points and hand waves important events in between to only mention that it happens afterwards. Major characters in some story arcs are forgotten or retconned out of the plot in the next arc without correcting the previous arc which makes the story seem disjointed. Fun for a pick up, but something to quickly put down again.
-mixed up chapters -mixed up pronouns -inconsistent namings (for both characters and general terms) -overall: worst translation I've ever experienced in my life so far (yes, worse than some mtl I've read) why bother translating at all, translator can just give 1 paragraph of chapter summary for each chapter instead and it MIGHT be a better read.
Translation is inconsistent, the names for physiques and stuff changes sometimes which is confusing. The worldbuilding is mediocre. I think in the chapter 170ish they introduce more of the cultivation realms and they randomly change after that. I don’t know if that’s due to translation. A lot of plot lines got dropped, I haven’t read to the end but the great xia plotline got put on hold for hundreds of chapters. His disciples in the main world just disappear with little mention too. Maybe they’ll come back in the end. Point is the book reads like the author made it up on the spot. the system kind of became irrelevant at one point. It raises the question on whether the system should have been written into the story at all.
This book had some great potential, unfortunately it is let down by a terrible editing team (if there is one) which puts chapters in weird orders at the beginning and changes story beats around to fit weird contrivences that the author decided the he wanted to do, and they can't seem to keep people's genders correct line when they just reference someone taking and then describe their actions with a different pronoun literally 10 words later. The editing is a big let down but not as big of a letdown as the more recent chapters. Eventually the world opens up as things tend to do in cultivation novels the problem the author begins to change how all the world's are arranged and connected which is a huge problem because the majority of the earlier arcs entirely depend on how the universe was arranged and changing just makes everything else feel like it's from an entirely different novel. props to the translation team who manage to crank out 3 chs a day for a long time now.
So this novel was good in the beginning, however after that story get dull and the author make the Mc dumber, why because if he starts using his brain there won't be any rush exp: "he meet a girl with good potential takes her as his disciple she tells him that her enemy is nurturing some sort of treasure(the enemy is 2 whole realm stronger than him) he goes there to take it,the enemy appears swipe the floor with our Mc then some stupid plot armor saves him" after that the author start with fillers like event 1 chapter filler 15 chapter. well thank you author for destroying a novel with good potential.
