World Isekai Reborn- Tale of a Reluctant Savior

Author update!!!!! Still working on the next few chapters please be patient. Warning this is considered a first draft "I will be posting this story on RoyalRoad.com," https://www.royalroad.com/profile/331825 Trigger warning this is a dark fantasy novel recommended for 16+. Murder, R*pe (will be implied but not described), likely slavery, and much more dark themes (it will not be shown in a positive light, that would be stupid), but this world is not a happy one, and the characters will be put through the wringer. Morals will be tested. Ideologies threatened. Shit gets real :). Author out! So while at first, it seems that I am making something full of tropes using the isekai and monster invasion through portals subgenre. I plan to use these motifs as a backdrop and break some troupes and hope to Supersede the tropes of the genre as Overlord did for its genre. Synopsis So the worlds are merging, and they need to get stronger, Or at least that's what the robotic voice said. All she knows is they were given a couple of minutes to choose a class; if they didn't select one, it would be randomly assigned. Shortly after the countdown, portals worldwide opened, and hundreds of millions died in less than 30 minutes. The world suddenly seems quieter and more dangerous than ever. And this was just the beginning. Our story follows Trish, a raven-haired girl who is a senior in high school who always finishes her assignments in minutes so she can sleep in class. During the selection process, While everyone else in the class was freaking out and or picking their class, she was promptly asleep. When she finally woke up, she found out what was going on. She was a glitch, classless. Though She does Have a few unique things about her; for ex, she has all nonreligious elemental magics, a skill called “hard work” where she can repeatedly do actions to gain skills that are related to said action ex jumping 1000x and getting a skill for 2x to jump height, etc. And a title called “ not the one,” which has zero information. She also has a seemingly ordinary skill called “menu,” which allows her to see a video game-like display of people's statistics. This skill is highly temperamental and a constant source of annoyance for Trish.

Chapter 10 Tale to tell about tails.

Two days later, Jin awoke.

Pov Jin

Jin's eyes flutter open. He set up and stretched, trying to shake the tiredness away, seemingly with no care in the world.

Feeling refreshed, he glanced around and saw a relatively small house made of mudbrick.

A delicious smell permeated the air.

Jin stood and walked to the area where a small kitchen had a fire roaring, and above it hung an iron cauldron with a hearty soup boiling.

Booooooom!!!!

The explosive sound shook the very ground he stood on; it felt like an earthquake.

Causing his ears to ring, he winced in pain.

Seconds Later.

Booom!

Bang!

The Ground shook again, this time much less violently.

His expression turned dark as he felt like a lightning bolt traveling up his spine.

"What is going on out there? " His voice shook. He proceeded to walk towards the door to see what was happening.

The bright sunlight nearly blinded him, causing him to bring up his hand to shade his eyes.

His eyes slowly adjusted, allowing him to see a few dozen houses that looked similar to the one he had just exited though a few were two to three times its size.

Three hundred meters from where he stood, a shimmering translucent Light blue dome encircled one hundred square meters of space in the center of town.

Inside the dome stood the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. A human fox hybrid that had short fur that shimmered in the sunlight like the sun glimmering of snow.

She wore a black leather tunic and black pants with split sides laced up with a white silken cord and no shoes. These clothes complemented her athletic but curvaceous body quite well.

He looked at her face, which was human except for the fur and fox-like ears. She was grinning, causing her to show her small fangs, and her eyes shone a vibrant purple.

That was when he finally noticed what was going on.

She disappeared from Jin's eyes and reappeared in the air doing an aerial roundhouse kick toward James, who was on the other side of the barrier with his back to the wall.

Her raven hair flowed freely in the wind when she sent the powerful kick toward James. She looked like a martial goddess who was dancing through the air.

She had captivated Jin's attention so much he didn't even notice James's bareback, rippling with muscles, was right in front of him just a hundred meters away.

Her kick was aimed at James's left kidney, which caused James to block the strike with his forearm.

He then threw a heavy right punch aiming at her stomach.

Jin could barely even see James throw the punch, but the fox girl had already disappeared from that spot and was on the ground sweeping James's feat from under him.

With lightning-fast speeds, she mounted him and threw a flurry of blows that looked like a blur, hundreds of punches all aimed at James's face, who was desperately trying to block them. His arms, covered by his wraps, bore the damage.

Jin, finally kicking it in gear, started running toward James. Raising his hand, he called forth the magic that had become like his second nature, gathering a ghostly green plasma in his hand and firing it off toward the fox.

"Leave him alone, temptress," Jin screamed, his eyes glowing the ghastly green it does when he casts his magic.

His magic didn't even move before she was right before him.

She backhanded the magic ball of hot plasma, sending it skyward before it exploded hundreds of meters in the air.

Kaboom!

"You're lively for someone who slept so long. It looks like you woke up just in time for some exercise," Camila responded devilishly, the grin never leaving her face.

She then grabbed Jin and tossed him over her shoulder. He landed next to James

who was breathing heavily, trying to catch his breath.

James is drenched in sweat, bruises cover his body, and his arms are in terrible condition.

Even with his body in the state it was, He was laughing and smiling. It made him look like a battle-crazy warrior who had just had a boxing match with Mike Tyson and Jason Voorhees.

Jin's expression darkened. He was horrified. "James, are you out of your mind? What is going on? Who is that vixen?" Jin's raspy voice echoed in the dome.

Before James could reply, Camilla Spoke for him. "I am his Teacher, which makes you two my disciples. Since you have a smidgen of aura, you must also be trained." She replied.

"But since your aura is so low, you first need to learn to feel the aura. The best way to do that is well... be hit with an overwhelming aura.

So take this punch." She Instructed with a fierce smile.

She then appeared right before him, and before he could realize she was right in front of him, An aura-coated fist had already punched his stomach.

He then flew to the far side of the dome only to have arms encircle him from behind that belonged to his best friend James, who tried to cushion the blow of being forcefully smashed into the forcefield.

The hit to his stomach caused Jin to cough up a vast amount of blood.

Finally, after a few moments, James feat touches the ground, setting Jin down with great care.

Jin then proceeded to collapse with extremely labored breathing.

Jin fell into the fetal position, a Ghastly green colored aura that matched his eyes when he cast magic started leaking from his whole body.

Camila walked towards Jin while she stretched her arms up to the sky, which caused a loud crack sound when it popped her back causing her to sigh in relief.

"Now I feel much more limber thanks for the warm-up, boys." She reached Jin and James. She then placed one hand on Jin's head and the other on James's. She then proceeded to heal them and help direct Jin's rampant Aura expelling back toward his Energy well in seconds.

Pov James

Her aura mastery astonished James, the precise control required to bring them both to the brink, heal them, and then guide someone else's aura. After a few days of training with her, James knew that controlling aura like that was a herculean task.

James's understanding of martial arts had increased exponentially from each sparing session with her. The knowledge he gained from it even far outstripped all the years on earth.

Her power and skill were not to be underestimated, and he had learned the hard way.

Even when Camila seemed to be toying with him, every one of her strikes left no openings as she combed off every hit with various palm strikes, kicks, and punches. Every part of her body was a finely tuned weapon that could snap him like a twig.

Though his trust in her skill at this point was near absolute, seeing Jin puke blood like that shook his conviction quite a bit.

Though he still saw her as almost untouchable, not unlike a goddess of martial arts.

"Jin… we need to learn all we can from her. She has vowed to help us find our friends. We are to week as it is to continue. I trust her judgment; we need her. Please accept my selfish request," he whispered to his best friend, his voice barely audible. Of course, Camila heard it anyway but pretended not to.

Pov Jin

He could almost not believe his ears. James, of all people, practically gave up on someone else while they were in danger. He looked into James's eye but saw a firm conviction. His gaze was razor sharp but somehow still pleading.

A moment passed before Jin replied with a nod and a one-word curt reply. "Fine."

He would follow James down any path, no matter how dark, even if he were unaware as to why.

Just as Jin finished the thought, he saw Camilla Enveloped by a Golden light out of the corner of his eye. It almost looked like she was becoming a fox version of a Super Saiyajin. Every bit of her fur stood on end, and her ponytail did as well.

Then a fifth tail started to grow behind her, and as it did, aura began to explode from her in waves causing James to have to jump in front of Jin to protect him. This was the same barrier that could withstand James's strongest attack tens of times over Shattered-like Glass.

Before more Devastation could be done, Camila grabbed the fifth tail and ripped it out.

The sheer pain of ripping out what was essentially a limb caused her to let out a scream of pain heard miles away.

The tail then proceeds to glow brighter and brighter, and a small Baby who looks almost human. Who has Camila's hair color, fox ears, a tail, but brown eyes, and no fur except for on her tail and ears.

Absolutely stunned, Jin and James, jaws were practically on the floor even though both were bleeding and in great pain. The sight before them made them forget it all.

Camilla looked up at them both bashfully with red eyes and tears streaming down her face.

She then broke the silence with an absolutely absurd statement, "Meet my daughter Vexas."

Jin, who finally managed to close his mouth, replied with the only thing that came to mind. "Uh, hi."
