5. The Meeting part 3

Standing within the doorway of the Xeres manner standing there nervously as stared down for the first time in probably a few hundred years. Jadamine Xeres, One of the oldest living vampires in the region, and one of the strongest and with good reason to fear for her known history with brutality.

Juilius bowed slightly to the woman before straightening out and clearing his throat. "It is going to be a long night of discussion indeed Madame Jadamine. I hope we can reach an agreeable terms as to how we can unite our two families." He said with a respectful tone. "May I be allowed entry into your lovely home?"

"You have permission to enter my home Julius Morave. Please do not enter with the intent to cause any form of pain or turmoil to our family" Jadamine spoke with a warm trusting smile as she stepped back away to allow for more walk space for the younger vampire before her.

Nodding slowly he made his way through the threshold and into the building as he looked around the teal interior that was lit as any home would be with enough lighting to see everything in the building bright as day. Blinking a few times Julius kept observing the main hall he stood as he noticed there wasn't a speck of possible hostility in the air.

"Where will we be holding the meeting tonight Madame Jadamine?" He asked as he stood there with his hands behind his back and his mind racing at a hundred miles an hour. He still couldn't believe that he had entered the house of another family. Where he knew none and was all alone if things turned south. He would have to fight his way out of the house of a powerful family.

"I was thinking it would be better off if I gave you a small tour of my humble abode. I want you to be comfortable with what me and my family have to offer you and yours after all Julius" Jadamine spoke as she turned around and began walking down the hall.

Following behind her Julius allowed himself to be led deeper within her home as he looked around keeping his eyes peeled. "That is nice of you to take my comfortability into consideration Madame Jadamine. If you don't mind me asking. Why did you suddenly reach out to my family and not any of the more prominent ones?" he asked one of the many questions that had been on his mind for the past several hours.

"Because your family and mine have been near each other for several centuries. We have fought against each other's territory and reaches. And when it came down to dealing with the order and the other hunter orginizations. And since you and I both know how dangerous they are becoming, I figured it would be better for both clans if we could come together." Jadamine said in response as she continued down the hall leading him him through the mansion. "It is worrying how quickly the humans are growing in strength and numbers, and the council not bothering to adress the issue at the Ul-quait"

"The council is home to the oldest vampires to exist since before Vlads time in the spot light." Julius spoke up as he was led into a large oval room with bookshelves lining the entirety of the room. With books on every shelf. Looking at the size of the room and the amount of books it held, he was more than surprised. "How many centuries does this collection go back to?"

"This collection goes back to the battles of Orius and Hins. This Collection is about twenty-five thousand years old and was kept intact with the practices on magic." She responded as she took in his look of awe as he observed the room. "This is one of the many things you would have access to upon our unification."

"What would the council think of such a unification of two houses? Especially two houses known for existing while disregarding the councils rules and teachings?" Julius asked looking at Jadamine with a look of worry on his face. "They would be sure to come down on us with force if they saw us as a threat."

"That is not something to worry about, because with this. We will begin sending some of our own to the council and their reach, just incase they began to have such thoughts. One thing you will need to know for sure young Julius is that my entire house is one big family, and we treat each other as such. No one will leave untouched if they threaten our family." Jadamine said as she walked out of the Library and down the hall.

For some reason those words touched Julius. And he couldn't understand why, but it made him feel even more better about accepting her proposition of merging the two clans. Shaking his head some he took one last glance at the library before heading out and following her down the hall.

"Where to now?" Julius asked as they walked before the scent of something good caught his nostrils causing him to stop where he stood as he wrinkled his nose a bit. "What is that smell?"

Turning Jadamine smiled at him. "You haven't had the delicacy that is human food?" She asked him as she stood there with an eyebrow raised. The thought of the young blood not having had any form of human delicacy, she oddly found cute. Like a youngling who was learning the ancient practices that lead to vampires being as lethal as they were.

Julius straightened as he scratched the back of his neck slightly embarrassed. "Unfortunately Madame Jadamine. I haven't had the chance to partake with the foods of mortals. But I have had the chance to enduldge their smokes. I have a fondness for their cigars." He spoke his voice cracking some adding more to his embarrassment.

Smiling Jadamine shook her head and chuckled. "Well follow me to the dining hall then Julius, and you can meet the next person I want you to meet and can indulge in the delicacy of human foods." She said turning and leading him to the dining hall that had been set up for the two, and her daughter.
