Chapter 21: auditions 2

Few minutes later, whitney and Lola arrived at the audition venue. "this place is huge" Lola said, but whitney just kept silent and studied every inch of the place. The building was very big, with glass windows all over it. it had an entrance, an exit and a big parking lot. Whitney and Lola entered into the building, it had a reception and other doors leading to different places. Whitney and Lola walked up to the receptionist, she was a very slim, nice looking woman with short hair, she was dressed in a coprate uniform and had a nice smile "annyonaseyo, welcome to hybe entertainment, how can I help you" the receptionist spoke very nicely to them. "annyonaseyo, we are here for the auditions" Lola replied. the young lady asked Lola a few questions, and typed her computer on her desk, after moments, whitney and Lola were led by the receptionist to a big hall, were she got her tag number, she was give number 54, so they had to sit and wait for a while. Whitney and Lola sat on bench like chair, they sat next to each other. Whitney was quite nervous, so she began to play with her fingers and shake her legs in a very anxious way. Lola noticed this and held her hands. "don't be nervous, you got this" Lola said to whitney calmly. Whitney then took a deep breath and smiled at Lola.

After minutes of waiting, whitney was called upon. she stood up from her chair and head towards a door, which led to a room filled with people. but before entering into the door, she glanced at Lola, who in turn gave her a reassuring smile. "number 54" a young man said. Whitney walked into a hall, it was very spacious. in front of her where 4 people, who appeared to be judged. 3males and 1 female. Three of the judges looked quite serious, which made whitney nervous, but the female judge had a smile on his face. "annyonaseyo" whitney greeted the judges, with a bow. "how are you" the lady spoke "I'm good and you" whitney replied. "I'm ok," what's your name", one of the male judges spoke "my name is whitney adesuwa" she answered "ok, so were are you from" another judge asked "I'm from Nigeria" she answered. " what will you be doing, what's your specialty" the woman said. "I will be dancing" whitney replied "ok then show us what you can do" said one of the male judges. she then sighted a boom player, she walked quickly and plugged her flash into it. not long after, the music started and she danced beautifully. soon after, the music stopped, and that concluded her dance routine. "ok, is that all" said one of the judges. "humm" whitney replied as she nodded trying to catch her breath. after some time, one of the judges asked her to sing. Whitney takes a deep breath and sighs. she closed her eyes, and after moments, she started so singing. she sang 00:00 o'clock by bts, she sang quite well. when she concluded her song, the judges stared at her for a while and then asked her to leave. Whitney gave a bow and exited the hall. she came out of the hall, shaking with fear and smiling at the same time. Lola, on sighting her coming out of the door rushed up to her and hugged her. "how was it" Lola said, "I did my best" whitney replied. "so what did they say" Lola replied "nothing really, when I was done with my performance, they stared at me and asked me to leave" whitney answered. "I know you did great, it's seems you left them speechless, let's go celebrate with ice cream" Lola said, as she grabbed Whitney's hand and they both left the building.
