JUST FINISH 'EM

A giant spaceship, leisurely wandering through the space, passes by a desert planet. Located near that planet's equator, an impact crater, an eye-catching Deep Empty Basin formed on a Desolate, Lifeless Planet so big that it was clearly visible from the outer space. Looking at the planet's state, it was easy to guess what the outcomes of the impact might have been.

Inside that spaceship, gazing upon that planet, a lady was sitting on a chair with her legs crossed on the desk. She was wearing a white leather uniform with a white cap placed on the desk.

'What a tragedy. Those rivers of the past are now nothing more than parched shells of their robustly flowing incarnations. All of this because of an asteroid…. We patrol this Binary System once every month but It's always disheartening to see this huh, devastated terrains…, dust storms… And a transparent enclosure...…. eh?… enclosure?'

"Dooot...Dooot...Dooot...", an Intercom device laying beside her legs buzzed.

'Hmm?'

[CLICK! ]

"Ah, yes, WHAT IS IT?", the lady spoke.

"... Captain, we have found some illegal occupants on the nearby isolated planet, and the planet also has an enclosure around it. Seems like they have already established a settlement. We have sent the reports to you.", A male informant answers from the other side in a slightly unpleasant tone.

"Well, I can see that enclosure too, but how did they-"

"Captain!, the report related to the known information has already been sent to you. So before asking any nonsense question, can you please take a look at the report and devise a course of action?"

'The way he's speaking, what a rude, I wish to throw him out right now, but the formality of his speech puts me in a bind. Well, you can't teach a 30-year-old stupid man manners, can you?"

'Sigh…. They still cannot accept a woman as their captain, huh? Well, too bad, I don't give a fu*k!'

The lady leaves the chair, walks up to the vacuum sealed glass panel, looks down at the planet, and smirks;

"...… INTERESTING.…."

Five smaller spacecrafts departs from the Mother-ship and descend towards the planet.

"Ninth division entering the atmosphere..."

"Commander, we'll make contact with the enclosure in 30 seconds…"

"To 'Niner-zero-two'…, blast it!"

"Roger!, penetrating in 2...,1...,0- 'BEEP!!!"

The launched missile made a "howling" noise as it sped up towards the transparent enclosure and...

"BOOOOM!!" The impact easily shattered the 2-meter thick enclosure like a glass.

"Getting into the lower atmosphere…", the 5 spacecrafts arrived over what seemed like ancient but modernized territory.

"We have visuals on the occupied area….."

"All units! Scan the entire area. I want every little detail in a minute. Now spread out!"

"Roger!"

... [After 5 minutes]

"Calling up to mother-ship... Do you copy?"

"…. Mother-ship to Niner-zero-one, Copy. Go ahead, commander.", the same male informant answers.

"Uh, so I'm sending the data analyzed by our team. Did you receive it?"

"um…, yeah!. Let me check."

"Niner-zero-one, the scanned data you sent, is it correct?"

"Affirmative"

"Then you're saying that the occupants formed a settlement, spaning160 miles!? and that too in just 1 month? "

"That is correct. They even enclosed the entire planet at the height of 20km above in the sky. The engineering and designs of the buildings are also top-notch. The settlement seems to have high-level technology, it may even be at the same level as ours."

"Okay….. So what now?"

"Requesting approval to connect with Captain of the mother-ship"

"… Well… um, I have already sent the report to Captain, and she told me to 'resume the mission and that you are also authorized to kill. They are criminals anyway, so you can just finish them off."

"Commander, what did they say? Should we go down and talk to them?"

'Talk to them? Yeah, like that's an option. The controller told me to attack them and on top of that, we also have to deal with their high-end defense mechanisms. Holy f*ck! We are just trainees; couldn't they have given us a simple mission for our first time?'

"…. (God damn it!)… So, what's their defense level, do they have anything much alarming?"

"… Commander, the thing is… there are no discoverable weaponized modules set up in the scanned area, except a vehicle which seems to carry some light ammunition."

"…. Niner-zero-three…, say again."

"Um, they don't have any defensive measures set, Sir!. "

"What? And you're telling me this now? Well, maybe we can actually complete the mission then, ha-ha, it'll be a piece of cake!

Alright! boys, it's time for some action! destroy all the buildings and don't worry about the occupants, the captain has already given the orders to kill."

"What? but sir, we can detain them. Why do we have to kill-"

"Negative. Now shut up and do what you have been told to do. "

And with that, the Ninth division started unleashing havoc on the peaceful settlement. A missile locked onto 2 heat signatures, went straight for the top of the biggest building, and pierced right into the 2nd floor;

"BOOOM!"
