[Lily's POV]

I haven't seen Narcissa since the day before yesterday, the day she and Sev went out on a date.

I was jealous that Narcissa got to go on a date with Sev, I still am.

Damn it, I should have asked Sev out when I had the chance, it took breaking off of our friendship for me to realize these feelings, it just started as a crush, but when Sev started hanging out with Avery and Mulciber, I started to realize the depth of my feeling.

When Sev called me Mudblood, my heart broke into million pieces, in anger I lashed out at him.

I cried for weeks after I broke our friendship, it hurt me, seeing my best friend becoming closer to a group of xenophobes.

But this year was a blessing, Severus changed, he stopped hanging out with those xenophobes, he started helping those who were bullied, but there was overwhelming sadness in his eyes.

I wanted to know why Severus felt so hollow whenever I saw him across the hall, I was there with him in his bad times but he never felt these detached before, so I made a deal with Narcissa Black to find out what he was hiding, what caused him so much pain after we patched our friendship.

At first, I tried to be civil with her for Sev's sake but I got a cold shoulder, so I annoyed her till she spoke to me.

As the weeks went by I kinda started liking hanging out with her, sure she wasn't a hyperactive kind of girl but I was used to dealing with silent types.

She started showing some expression around me, she even apologized for calling me Mudblood though in her own way, by giving me some lessons on ballet.

Though it hurt me that Sev was going on a date with Narcissa, I knew she really loved Sev, so I was happy for them, wished things went well on their date.

But I have been having these dirty thoughts about what might have happened, which made me jealous.

My thoughts were broken due to Marlene.

"Earth to Lily, Earth to Lily." Marlene shakes me.

"Stop shaking me, Marlene."

"Finally! you have been brooding for the last 15 minutes." Marlene said.

"Hey, Mar, I think she is brooding due to the rumors about Severus and Black dating," Mary whispers to Marlene.

"Oh...So Lily has a crush on her former best friend" Marlene said mischievously.

"No, I don't have a crush on him. And he is my best friend."

I didn't want to be the center of gossip right now, and I didn't want to make Sev feel awkward since he is with Narcissa now.

I saw Mary raise her eyebrow in a way that meant she didn't believe a bit.

I knew Mary knew about my feeling for Sev, thankfully, she didn't say anything.

"So....did you both patched things up," Marlene questioned

"Yes"

"Really? When did it happen? I hope you both have cleared all of the bad things between you. You were depressed and cried a lot after you broke your friendship with him." Marlene said with concern.

I smiled at her concern," Yes, we buried all thing happened behind us. We are friends again."

"Good. I saw his chance, he isn't friends with those bastards anymore and he even exposed potter and his gang. I still feel creeps when I get into shower."

All three of us shivered remembering what we heard that day.

"I cast humaneo revealio spell every time I enter the bathroom," Mary said.

"Me too."

Mar shook her head in disgust at thought of finding some creep in her bathroom.

"Me too, I honestly have nightmare due to that potter confessing that he spied on me using that map."

"It would be better for those four to never return to Hogwarts," Mary said.

"If they do, they would spend every day in the hospital wing," Marlene said coldly.

"I would be happy to be the one to send them to the hospital myself," I said.

I honestly felt like cursing Potter and sending him to the hospital wing that day when he was exposed.

"You are not alone, Girlfriend. Me and Mary here would love cursing their asses if they were to return." Marlene winked Mary mischievously, who returned a grin of her own.

We spent talking quietly and laughed at some jokes made by Marlene.

After some time, Marlene and Mary got up to leave.

"Let's return to the common room, Lily," Mary said as she gathered her books.

"You both go, I will return after reviewing some chapter."

"*sigh* Ok, but don't spend too much time. You always forget the time when you are in the library. Be sure to"

Marlene said sternly.

"Sure, Mum."

Both Mary and Marlene laughed and left the library.

After her passionate make-out session with Severus, Narcissa went to find Lily to inform her to meet her tonight.

She knew where to find Lily at this point in the day.

At first, she thought Lily didn't deserve a speck of her time apart from the training she promise but with time, they both hit off pretty well.

She was fascinated by some muggle stuff that Lily spoke about.

With Lily, she didn't need to keep her façade as she did with other purebloods.

She learned how muggles struggled after they find out that they were magical from Lily.

Her newfound friendship with Lily helped her change in perspective.

She spots Lily in the furthest corner of the Library, immersed in the book she was reading.

"Hello, Evans"

Lily raises her head from the book and sees Narcissa taking a seat in front of her.

"Oh, Hey, Narcissa. Good to see you."

"You too."

"So, how was the date?" Lily asked enthusiastically.

"Good"

"And?"

"What do mean and?"

"I mean like where did he take you? what did you both do? I need details."

Lily couldn't hold her curiosity.

A mischievous grin dawned on Narcissa's face, " Why should I tell you those details?" she said with a smirk.

"Why not? I am your friend, am I not? tell me, please. I want to know what Severus planned. I always wanted to know what Severus would do on a date."

"hmm..." Narcissa acts as if she was contemplating it but in reality, she did want to share her date with Lily, she was just messing with Lily.

"OK, I will tell you."

"Really?!" Lily brightens ups.

"Yes, So it started with-"

Narcissa starts telling Lily about the date up until the part where Severus took her to his mansion.

Lily listens to her intently, her expressions changing constantly from shock to awe to happiness multiple times.

"WOW, I didn't know Severus would have come up with such a great date."

"It was you who told him about my newfound interest in the cars, didn't you?"

Lily gives her a cheeky smile and replies "Yes. I thought it might be a good idea since Severus was a very talented driver, he could have earned some points on the date if you knew about this side of him."

"He certainly did. I loved the ride, it was like riding a broomstick at full speed."

"So, what happened after your performance?"

Narcissa's face instantly starts to become a bit red due to remembering what she and Severus did, which doesn't go unnoticed by Lily.

"Nothing much, we just went to his mansion," Narcissa said casually after getting a grip of herself.

Lily's eyes widened as she connected the dots, and instantly realized that her thoughts early today came true.

"You both-" Narcissa quickly covers Lily's mouth with her hand as soon as she saw Lily's expression turn into one that is of a shock.

"Shhh...We are in the library. I will remove my hand but don't overreact. Am I understood?"

Lily nods, still in shock.

Narcissa removes her hand and leans back on her seat.

"..."

Lily just stared blankly at Narcissa without saying anything.

Narcissa got annoyed at Lily's blank stare and said "Can you stop staring at me?"

-:-clears throat-:- Lily finally snaps back to reality and questioned, "How?"

"what do you mean how?"

"I mean what led you both to ....you know .....shag? and how was it?"

Narcissa thought Lily was kidding when she asked the last part, but the look on Lily's face said she was serious.

"You. ....you are seriously asking me about it?" Narcissa said with a judgmental look.

"Hey! don't judge me, I'm just curious, you know. Teenagers at this age, are meant to be curious about those things, hormones. So, tell me how was it? does it hurt? was he gentle?"

"...."

Narcissa was weirded out by Lily's enthusiasm.

"No, I won't! And you better close your mouth, your perverted side is showing."

"Hey! I'm not a pervert. It is just science."

"Whatever. By this time, you should know I'm not someone, who would share those things."

"*groans* Yeah, you won't."

"It was good though," Narcissa said with a smug smirk just to annoy Lily.

"....you know, you are evil for this."

Narcissa smiles seeing Lily grumbles.

"I am here to inform you that Severus is going tell you about what you were dreading to know," Narcissa said.

Lily's mood changed from humorous to serious.

"Really?"

"Yes. meet me after dinner."

"Thank you,"

"Why?" Narcissa didn't understand why Lily was thanking her.

"For teaching me Occlumency."

"That was part of the deal."

"Yes, but my part wasn't really worth that much, you already knew so much about Severus. Because of you, Severus will share what caused him so much pain." Lily said sincerely.

To Lily, knowing what caused Severus hurt meant so much, she wants to know what caused him pain and secrets he kept from her.

She didn't like being an outsider in Severus's life, they have shared everything since their childhood, she even knew the things that he tried to hide. She wanted to be a shoulder he can lean.

Narcissa was saddened because she knew Lily will probably cry after she finds out what made Severus sad.

"The deal was off the day I started considering you my friend. I care what I consider mine. You don't have to be thankful. You consider me friend, don't you?"

Narcissa said with a genuine smile, which she mostly reserved for Severus and her sisters.

"Yes, I consider you a friend, even though you can get a bit bossy sometimes, sorry...I mean all the time."

Lily replied with a small humorous smile.

" Well, I was born to be the boss. I love to make others do my bidding." Narcissa said smugly.

"Oh... Should I fear the rise of the dark lady Narcissa Black, thou who shall rule Great Britain?" Lily joked.

"....Maybe? You should. It doesn't seem like a bad idea." Narcissa acted like she was seriously considered but the humor in her eyes betrayed her action. "Lady Evans, would you join my ranks in taking Great Britain?"

"Of course, My Lady. What is our goal behind this?" Lily continued the joke.

"Hmmm...Good question. We will think about it later."

Humor was twinkling in both the emerald and Sapphire eyes.

They both tried to appear serious as they continued but they burst out laughing and were kicked out of the library.

"Meet me after dinner at the entrance of Great hall, Evans" Narcissa said as they start to move towards their concerning common rooms.

"Ok, Bye"
