What if?… You want to be a Dark Lord?

This ones a bit random, but it is the traditional Isekai with wishes trope. The world is an alternate MCU, more accurately a HP X MCU crossover. Like my other fan fic meticulous research is involved, to be honest though Marvel comics is too much so I'm sticking a lot more to MCU. Knowing me though I’m not sure I won’t go down the rabbit hole… Whatever. Enjoy! The Mid 80's & Scandal

My curiosity with Overhaul eventually led to me committing a series of unfortunate and slightly idiotic mistakes.

The first mistake is that I duplicated Dora's wand. After touching the wand while she was distracted I created a copy with Creation. For whatever reason it didn't have magic after creating it with my Creation quirk. So on another opportunity I ended up using Overhaul to disassemble and reassemble the wand. After doing this I understood I wasn't able to provide the duplicated wand any magic because I couldn't recreate the wands sentience. My solution to this was having my parents purchase a set of pet mice.

With the mice in one hand and the wand in the other I eventually managed to merge one of the mice into a wand. The two becoming one did allow the wand to finally be used. A wizard with a wand and one without were two completely different existences. Multiple wands were made so that each of my clones could have one in hand. The addition of the wand also made me spend even more time sneakily reading Dora's Hogwarts textbooks.

The mistake I made here is giving my clones, fifteen of them at this point, their own wands. In its original intention these wands would allow me to quickly develop muscle memory for my wand movements. The fact that these clones could not use any of my other quirks made me overlook the fact that these clones still had my body. In other words all fifteen of the clones could use magic.

The mass of spells that came out of my room in one not so well done study session resulted in massive damage to my room. Luckily children using wandless magic was not an uncommon sight and I didn't stand out in a poor light. The experience did come with another benefit however I began to focus a lot more on my mastery of charms. Suitcase 001 was a worthy and respected contributor to wizard science.

September once more came around and my sixth quirk came with quite possibly the most visually spectacular moments of my new life. In early September I accompanied Dora to her boarding of the Hogwarts Express for the first time. After getting the heartfelt goodbye over with I arrived home and began reading some book on charms. That's when the next quirk awoke, Overclock.

The quirk was really nothing more than a janky speed force I could access for about 5 seconds. Visually though it was incredible, I could literally have the world stop around me. In my first attempt to use the quirk I managed to read a pile of books on charms and retain the information.

The catch? I immediately passed out.

It was quite embarrassing. The quirks main weaknesses was the fact that it would deprive the brain of oxygen. Of the quirks I had this was the only one that made me consider making biological alterations to my body. The quirk was simply to dangerous to use in full force without some form of risk mitigation. The true benefit of the quirk was the boost to my mental faculties. I called the mental boost the passive state of the quirk.

The active state was the dangerous part of the quirk that allowed me to slow my perception of time to a near standstill and accelerate my body freely. Otherwise in the passive state the quirk merely improved my reflexes and allowed me to visually track things like a golden snitch rather easily. Not to mention it improved my mental faculties by allowing me to have accelerated thoughts.

It's not like the setback of passing out was enough of a reason not to use the quirk. Once muggle school was over and my clone arrived home with my father, it would immediately come to our room and we'd switch places. I'd come down to eat and spend time with my parents, go back to my room, train on making more clones, and extending the use of Overclock. These two quirks in particular would only be trained at this time as I didn't want to pass out while a clone was at school resulting in it having to dissipate.

Apart from my daily training routine very little even registered as an event in my daily life. Well all except my very stupid experiment on my own grandparents. This was the second mistake I made with Overhaul.

Christmas this year was fated to be an eventful one. The result of adding magic to my wand made me arrogant that I could do more. Seeing my grandparents in their declining age and hearing the hushed whispers that they may not have long from my father. Well it made me decide to attempt to change something fundamental to humans when my grandparents came over for Christmas.

I reasoned if they're dying anyways me doing a little experiment wouldn't change much. Using my own genetic makeup as a reference I used Overhaul on them and altered their bodies. The screams they let out before vanishing in front of my eyes and the stupefied look the rest of my family had when I reformed them was a sight to behold.

I made both of them wizards, not just any type of wizards, but they were both now metamorphmagi. Which became clear with the magically floating red and blue hair. The average wizards lived anywhere from one hundred and forty to one hundred and fifty years. What I had done to my grandparents was effectively increase their lifespan and provide them a whole new world to explore. That was the good news.

The bad news from this event was a bit more complicated than that. Originally I didn't perform this change on my grandparents out of complete sentimentality. In my mind this change helped explain how two metamorphmagi were born to a muggle born father and a mother of the Black family. A Black family who notably never had metamorphmagi in their long history. Mother and father never explicitly said anything directly but in hushed whispers it was clear they worried Dora and I would be studied by the Ministry.

With two grandparents that had the same ability it was less likely for Dora and myself to be dissected by the ministry. At least that's what I thought. In reality two metamorph siblings seemed to not be the spectacle my parents expected. A full two generation of metamorphmagi however? That was more worthy of investigation. The result was that my grandparents were almost abducted by the Ministry of Magic.

The Department of Mysteries in particular sent a few letters requesting to 'talk' with our family. From the correspondence it seemed they were highly interested in how a pair of formerly believed to be muggles turned out to be wizards.

Late bloomers were a rarity but two who were a couple were unique. More importantly they were not just late bloomers but metamorphmagi of all things. That small change to our family tree resulted in some rather grand changes to our overall life, very much to my mothers chagrin. Mothers anger rose particularly when the Prophet ended up reporting on my grandparents extraordinary circumstances and what it meant for the Tonks family.

As far as Wizard culture was concerned for all intents and purposes my fathers status from muggle born changed to half blood and mine and Dora's status changed to pure blood. The disownment of Andromeda Black became a laughingstock to other pure blood families as it turned out the rebellion against the Black family was completely unnecessary.

A series of tabloid like articles rapidly came out regarding my parents love lives. When that line of nonsense eventually died down a slew of other rumors took its place.

Particularly rumors of my great grandparents also being metamorphmagi that were unable to manifest their magic were highly circulated by several news outlets. That rumor in turn made many promote the idea that my father should be considered a pure blood. It was to the point that the rumor became truth in many eyes without any form of evidence whatsoever. Naturally with out concrete proof people started spouting conjecture as if fact.

Unfortunately as metamorphmagi were rare, prior to our family, very little information was around which allowed every Tom, Dick, and Harry to make their own theories. The most prominent theory being that wizards descended from metamorphmagi were less likely to manifest magic in their lifetime. At first it seemed like the theory was started by pure bloods who wanted to shame the Black family by boosting Ted Tonks status even further.

In actuality the rumor wasn't purely to boost the status of the Tonks family or shame the Black family. The people who secretly supported the Tonks family had no need and the other pure bloods who wished to shame the illustrious Black family had nothing to do with this theory.

In fact the theory was the product of the half blood community that wanted to be recognized as purebloods. They promoted the idea that they too had relatives that failed to manifest as they were metamorphmagi. This group was only hoping to improve their own blood status by claiming to have a similar situation to the Tonks family and had little to no proof. The crazy thing is how much traction this theory actually caught with the sole chink in the theory being that Ted Tonks was not a metamorphmagus himself.

With supporters comes detractors and for a time some rumors also appeared to state metamorphmagi should be considered half breeds, like the veela. A fear campaign shortly followed that many metamorphmagi hid in plain sight and that we as a family were a threat that needed to be eliminated. Of course this was written by the unethical shit stain known as Rita Skeeter. Seeing as I was constantly self aware of any beetles in my vicinity it was surprising she published anything at all. Nonetheless I worried and made an effort to help support the half blood theory. I made father a metamorphmagus a few days after the article was published.

Ironically as much as things were initially about avoiding the ministry abducting our family, the bastards ended up walking right into our home. As was said by the aurors 'In an effort to quell the unrest our family needed to be reviewed by the Department of Mysteries'. They didn't dare to just take us in however as the Black family name still had its splendor in the Ministry. The result was that we were graced with a home visit. The Ministry finally got its wish and got to study the metamorph family.

Unexpectedly they clearly could not poke and prod us to their hearts content. In my estimation the Black and Malfoy families put a lot of pressure on the Ministry so they wouldn't go too far. Which is likely why by the time the Department of Mysteries arrived they ended up spewing their own guesses as fact.

The Ministry shortly issued a statement through the Daily Prophet. From what I could infer the statement was under duress as the ministry had no desire to step on the toes of current and formerly influential metamorphmagi. Not to mention any families that could potentially profit off the sudden boost in blood purity.

According to the Ministry:

Only truly magically powerful wizards were metamorpmagi at birth.

The magical strain that being a metamorph entailed would result in a delay for a weaker wizard or witch being able to manifest their magic. In other words metamorphmagi had a much higher rate of being late bloomers to magic.

The case of my father was then stated to be the result of having strong magic at birth but not strong enough to manifest his metamorph ability at birth.

In short if you were a metamorphmagus or had one in the family it could be possible one of the muggle parents (if any) of the wizard could still be a late bloomer. Should a metamorph be present in your family tree, as a wizard you could still be a future metamorphmagus. Overall the Ministry opted to satiate former metamorph ego and increase a few half bloods blood standings all the while using the Tonks family as the poster child of proof.

Overall this made very little impact to the wizarding world at large as the probability of being a metamorphmagus was still very low. Eventually the hubbub began to calm down but the information was out there. Resulting in the Tonks family being propelled to semi stardom. Particularly the two at birth metamorph children currently in the Tonks family. Quite frankly we were a pure blood families wet dream. Dora in particular was highly sought after as she would carry on her suitors surname. What better way to show pure blood supremacy than with a unique magical ability?

You know who and Salazar Slytherin had parseltongue and now they too could possibly have something similar in metamorphmagi. So it came as little surprise when mother received owls from her long lost father and sister.

The letter received from mothers sister requested our family to visit the Malfoy estate so that they could meet. Now with Dora's and fathers improved pedigree mother was sure her dear old sister was more interested in becoming in laws than restoring their sisterly bond. Her father on the other hand out right stated in his letter that she had been reinstated to the family tapestry and that he wanted to meet his grandchildren. Mother was having none of it but her constant attempts to rebuff invitations and summons were only met with even more fervor.
