Chapter 28: The Slime Dungeon

The group were able to locate the slime dungeon, which was actually located at the north-east of Azron town about some kilometers away.

They were actually not the only ones since Azron town was like a beginners village for adventurers who wanted to make a mark on the world.

As they got closer to the dungeon, Doron and the others saw that there was actually a mini market infron of the dungeon, well a safe distance from the dungeon so that any monster outbreak can be easily subdued without any casualties.

"Don't you guys want to stack up on some things?" Pin asked as he saw that Dor- Randolph and his group were just passing by the merchant stores with no plans of buying anything.

Of course these merchants were not selling potions and armors, they were rather selling foods, maps, pouches to store beast cores and what looked like bags.

"No need" Doron said as he just passed by the merchant stalls.

"They are going to get killed" The lady that held back the spearman form earlier said as she could easily tell that this Randolph guy is inexperienced in dungeon diving.

'Maybe he is part of thoserich young masters that have a lot of strength, but not enough skill to back it up' She thought as she joined her party members to buy some miscelleniuos things.

After theirshopping, they came and saw Doron and his group looking at the dungeon with strange looks.

"What is the matter, you scared" They did not even bother with the spear guy as they ignored him.

The reason why they were looking like they were country bumpkins was simple.

The dungeon looked like temple, you know those temples you see in greece, made up of marble and having ridiculously huge pillars and the likes, except that the dungeon looked to be covered in slime of different colours.

This was the second reason why they were frowning, it was because of the description of the slime dungeon, of course Doron told the girls.

'Why dungeon of the mimics though, are they able to copy the looks of others' Was the quetion that Patra had asked as soon as she heard the name of the dungeon.

"Let's go" Doron said as he went to the entrance of the dungeon, as they climed the stairs.

It was really slippery as any single misstep would send yo--

"Kyah!"

Just like the girl in front of them that just slipped and is now tumbling down the stairs back to the foot of the stairs.

That was just a brief interlude to their climbing journey as they got to the entrance easy.

Doron and the girls looked at the entrance of the dungeon and frowned again.

'Is this some kind of joke?'

The thing is, the door to the dungeon looked like the gates one would see when entering a shrine in japan.

It's like the mimic dungeon was trying to piss the off by shaming the cultures of earth, as for Patra, her's was the futuristic looking signboared untop of the shrie gate that read welcome.

Seeing their expressions, one of the party members of Pin's guild spoke. "Don't be fooled by those illusions, they would show you your greatest fears before you enter the dungeon"

His advice earned him strange looks from Doron, Irisand Patra, as they looked at each other, and back to the guy and back to the dungeon.

"We are all seeing a greek temple right?" Doron asked just to be sure, to which Iris and Patra replied with a yes.

"And what of the japanese shrine gate?" That was also met with a yes.

"Are you scared of these things?"

"..."

Patra and Iris decided to just keep quiet.

on the other hand the party members of Pin's group looked at the trio with confused looks.

What is a grik?, grink? temple? Is it another religion like the goddess of the divine? What of the jap whatamcallit shrine gate? what is that, is that their fear? What a crappy fear.

The spearman,Pin, and the woman that stopped the spearman before on the other hand were more focused on the other words spoken by Doron

'They can actually see the same thing? Is sibling bonds that strong?'.

"Ahem... Can we just enter" Pin suggested as he saw the way the trio were looking at the gate to the slime dungeon with a dangerous glint in them.

"Okay"

They all then proceeded to enter the dungeon and their vision blurred for a second and when they regained their footing, they saw that they were in a beautiful and lush forest, with trees that grew as far as the eye could see.

It felt like the world around them was small as even the mushroom they saw was about 3 meters tall.

*Barf*

The trio heard the sound of puking not to far away and saw that Pin and his group were puking their guts out. This lasted about ten minutes, counting the time that the females of the group used to fix their appearances.

After their display, the party men looked at Doron and his group with wierd eyes.

"You guys are okay already?" Another female of the group spoke.

Right, forgot to talk about the members of the group.

They were seven in total, counting Pin their leader of course. There were three women and four men, the youngest was the boy that looked about sixteen years old.

That's it, Doron did not bother to get their names so we will refer to them like this.

Spearman - person 1

The woman that held back spearman - woman two, she has a nice chest, so lets change that to nice chest woman.

The sixteen year old boy - boy 1

The others would all have theirs as person 2 for the last man and bimbo face for the other woman and milf for the other woman.

So now that introuctions are done, let's get back to business.

"You guys are fine already" Bimbo face said looking at how Patra and Iris looked perfectly fine with no paleness on their faces at all.

"Yeah, why did you guys puke though?" Patra inquired as she looked at how pale they looked.

"You don't know? Or are you just playing dumb" Person 1 said, with some anger in his tone, since he felt that Patra was mocking him.

"Of course she would forget, it seems you guys don't know about our poor sister condition of forgetting important things" Doron said with sadness as he embraced Patra.

Iris would of course follow along. "How could you say such words to girl like her, heartless"

The other party members looked at person 1 who looked like he eaten a fly.

"This is what happens when entering dungeons, it's like entering a another plane, so our bodies won't easily get used to such things and we throw up" Pin calmly explained.

"Oh, I remember now" Patra said with a look of enlightenment.

"Let's just look for a place to--- "

*Rumble*

The ground started shaking as the group were caught of guard by the sudden earthquake and some fell on their behinds as they looked to the direction where they believed the shaking was coming from.

As they looked, a huge blob of about 5 meters appeared.

It was blue in color with blue eyes and an open mouth that made them see almost right through it.

"It's the floor boss!" Boy 1 said as he took out what looked like a wand normally used by witches.

"Space spell: Extractum!"

He waved it and the whole group disappeared, leaving behind a confused Marble who looked around with no clue as to where the group went.

"Papa?"

She said as moved in the direction that she felt her father's prescence.

The group were instantly teleported to what looked like cave that did not really have any form of lighting as they could only see about a few feet infront of them.

"Why did we run away?" Iris asked with a frown.

"Firstly, it's called tactical retreat, secondly, we can't fight the floor boss without gathering the necessary tools to fight it." Boy 1 explained as he patted his chest, in an attempt to calm down.

"Tools?"

"Yes tools, it seems you did not do any reserch about the slime dungeon did you?" Boy 1 said with disdain.

Maybe talking to people like Iris who don't like doing their homework was an insult to his intelligence.

Taking Iris's silence as an agreement, Boy 1 spoke. "The floor bosses of the slime dungeon need specific tools to kill them, for the first floor boss, we need to find the core of a water slime and merge it with a weapon and kill it, the second just needs the core of a fire type slime, repeat the process and we reach the slime queen, her's using the flame and slime core to kill her"

"Why does it sound easy?" Patra asked.

The other party members looked at each other and realised that maybe this girls memory thing is really very bad disorder for her, what if she forgets how to fight one day? That would be a funny but sad thing to see.

"Of course not, these cores are guarded by other slimes of course, so we have to defaet those slimes first" Boy 1 said. "But the hard part is locating the slime cores"

"They are water slimes right?" Iris asked. "Why do't we check around some water bodies?"

"It's not that easy, everytime we enter back into a slime dungeon, the dungeon changes it's topography, the last time we entered here, it was a marshland, not a forest like this" Milf said. "So we won't really find them in places you think they would be---"

*Rumble*

"Papa!"

The ground shook again and they heard the voice of a child screaming papa, looking at the entrance of the cave, they saw the same water slime, this time it was blocking the entrance, the only place to runaway from.

"Gibson? Can you--"

Oh, so his name is gibson... Still prefer boy 1.

"No" Boy 1 interjected. "That space spell took all my mana"

The group could only look as the slime tried to squeeze it's way into the cave.

"Papa!"

"...Sweetheart!"
