The Adventurous Guild

Normally the Guild is jampacked during morning as everyone arrives early to secure the mission with the best rewards. Fights have broken out between members for the best mission requests therefore the Guild is very strict in punishing the troublemaker and enforcing its first come first serve policy. Most of the missions take a whole day due to various factors such as escort missions to the village, gathering medicinal herbs so best luck in finding them. Basically, missions like these consume a lot of time and not that difficult to complete but if an herb is found in a Ranked Area You are payed accordingly.

When everyone completes their mission request they get extremely tired due to all that adrenaline rush from the fights or all that exercise from running all over the place. So, it gets rowdy during the night shift as they return to the guild to get drunk therefore it is relatively empty at other times with little to no activity as everyone gets busy with there tasks.

Those like him who complete their missions early just take their rewards and leave to complete another mission therefore they never staying for more than necessary in the Guild. Or something unexpected happens and disaster follows leading to sever injuries leaving them no choice but to retire for the day.

'In my opinion adventurers spend more than they earn which only leave them little money, so they have to make due.' Aren mused. 'Weapons, Potions, Magical items, Rent, Rations aren't cheap. It was my luck that they had a healer in their group that was nice enough to patch me up otherwise my expenses would have increased.'

'I need to but myself a better sword, but those weapons aren't cheap especially those ranked ones. That Right Everything in this world is given a rank. Books, weapons, potions, herbs, just add any other thing that might come to your mind here.' Aren sighed as he thought of his almost empty wallet or pouch, whatever.

No matter what others might think, a Guild is not a place where everyone that becomes a member is a part of a family. There may exist a guild in other worlds in which every member is a part of a family but this one clearly isn't. Rather they are just an organization that acts as mediators between clients and Adventurers. Joining this organization provides you with benefits such as the availability of missions of various ranks, recognition, and many others which I am too lazy to state. The Higher your rank the more benefits you get.

'If anyone Asks me they are very workaholic.' Aren thought as he made his way towards the receptionist.

"Hey there Lila." Aren called out.

"Aren" Lila acknowledged his arrival as she took out the mission register where missions assigned by the guild are recorded, "Back already I see."

"Yes, my luck managed to hold out." Aren stated as he weakly laughed.

"I can see that." Lila spoke giving him a dry look as she finished writing something in the book before giving it to Aren to Sign.

"Let this be a lesson that things don't always go the way we want them too. I suggest that you find yourself some friends and form a group that will increase your success rate. Even through rewards will be distributed equally among the group but your chances of survival are guaranteed as well so that even things out. Remember the greater the hurdles you cross the more experience you gain the longer you survive, the stronger you will become in the future. But to survive and cross those hurdles you need a team to watch your back.' Lila Spoke

"Even through going solo has a high pay rate then working as a team but don't let those short-term gains deceive you. After all what is the use of having all the riches in the world if you don't live long enough to enjoy it." Lila advised him to the best of her ability.

"Just leave the Prove of your kill along with the magic cores on the desk and go get something to eat before going home to retire for the day. Am I clear." Lila asked in a sweat tone that could even the cruelest of hearts before immediately switching to cold tone at the end that could even freeze Hell.

"Crystal." Aren weakly answered clearly terrified out of his wits. He immediately put two pouches on the desk. Taking another look at her he laughed awkwardly not knowing what to say next. Unfortunately, the decision was taken out of his hands.

"Well what are you waiting for SCRAM." Lila's spoke in a cold voice that promised an eternity of pain and torture if not obeyed.

Aren turned tail and made a run for the exit never once looking back therefore he missed the smile on her face as she watched him go.

For every mission completed the Guild takes 10 percent as its commission while you get the rest. But like any other organization the Guild is run by Humans therefore if you have connections you get better treatment. He doesn't know how his predecessor accomplished it but there is a place reserved for him in William and Lila's Heart therefore he gets 100 percent of the mission reward with no cuts.

It took some time but eventually he started to notice that he was getting payed more then the rest who completed the same missions.

Alright he didn't find anything out of the ordinary with his pay check at all. After all he was payed exactly the same amount as stated in the mission request not a copper less. He just heard some adventurers complain about the guild taking 10 percent of there earning. The only thing he was guilty of was keeping silent about his earnings. You can't expect him to dig his own grave and sleep in it. After all you never ask a woman her age and a man how much he earnings.

Aren Laughed awkwardly thinking about that this line which he heard from Dan his father as he entered a inn to eat to his hearts satisfaction or until it bleeds as he is almost broke.
