Chloe waited eagerly for Ethan to come back home from work. It was probably not wise, but she had come to think of his house as 'home,' something that she knew that she should not do. In fact, she had become so comfortable living here with Ethan that the thought of leaving his place to go and live somewhere else filled her with something akin to panic.

She had yet to see him with any female or see any female visit him, and she had been living with him for two weeks now. In that span of time, Chloe had gone out only three times. The first time was on a Saturday when she followed Ethan to the grocery store to get some personal items for herself. The next time, she had followed him out on his morning run, and the last one was when he took her out on a tour of the city. She mostly preferred to stay indoors pending the time that she was fully okay. However, living with him didn’t mean that it was safe for her to begin thinking of his house as her home or seeing herself in his life.
